"Great place to kayak. 7 mile trail 12 minutes from capital."
"I have mixed feelings about here. I wouldn't recommend walking your dog as there are lots of wetland areas around and the trails are bright open sunny patches where snakes would love to sun themselves. From the parking lot there is a short trail that leads through some very tall grass, great for birding but also great for ticks. The trails are spacious are pretty the area is well managed overall. It seems like controlled burning happens fairly regularly. The trails are not well marked overall so I would reccomend using an app like Google fit or All trails if you're not directionally gifted to remember where the parking lot is."
