"Beautifully rehabbed first floor with recent plans and funding to rehab the second floor theater and balcony. This place is a true diamond in the rough keeping this small towns history alive and thriving."
"Bravo!!!!! So we went to a program inside the old Linda Theater, now Tecumseh Theater in Shawnee, Ohio. The program was presented by a sitting Judge who resides in Thornville, about the .22 Caliber Killers from 1977/78 here in Ohio. It was a fund raiser for the restoration of the theater itself. The Shawnee Mayor, the Destination Director, a local shop owner and retired Perry County Reporter and many other key people applied for and received a grant for $4million to start the restoration but much more is needed. I included pictures from the memorial gardens honoring coal miners, a couple shops and the amazing Black Diamond Tarvern. What a treasure to witness and contribute to this restoration of this town of such significant Ogio history. I will be back!!! I didn't get half the pictures I wanted!!"
"I loved it, its better if its not raining, I still enjoyed it though. I will go back when it is warmer and the trees are out in bloom."
"this entire small town is an almost ghost town. a lot of property owners love to say a dying city is “up and coming” to newcomers in an attempt to lure or stimulate the economy. however the fact of the matter is that ohio produced a lot of presidents and at one point in time was also a powerhouse of american economy. big money moved out of ohio since then. this area is supposedly a coal mining town that has gone bust. there is history here and beauty of decay. was an enjoyable visit for an aficionado of relics and ghost towns."
"If you like history and forgotten places, this is for you. Being the only sophisticated entertainment for many miles, I would assume, a few famous people would have attended shows here. The mines of the area dis draw many politicians here. The famous union was in the newspapers during the operation of the theater. This town was like a metropolis in its day. The town had a large enough population to support a theater in "the Hills" far from other modern cities. Very interesting place."
