About the Mike Blankenship Skate Park
Located at 2909 Jackson Bluff Road in Tallahassee, Florida, the Mike Blankenship Skate Park is a cutting-edge facility spanning 26,000 square feet. Designed to cater to skaters of all levels, the park features a five-foot deep pool that rolls down to nine feet, along with various lip areas, flat banks, transitions, and other challenging features. Led by chair Dave Wilcox, local skateboarders and the Skaters' Union collaborated with the Parks and Recreation Department to select the site at the James Messer Sports Complex. Reviews of Mike Blankenship Skate Park
"Great place to chill on a nice sunny day.. never too crowded.. cool environment with cool people."
"Great area to skate, BMX and meet new people. You can do all kinds of tricks"
"Park may look rough on the eyes, but it feels great under the wheels. Decided to hit it up while I was in tallahassee and was not disappointed. The bowl is a bit scary for my skill level, cause its fast and small, but it was still fun. Deeper and faster than my home bowl in south walton, but with a nice roll in section, and a good 5 foot beginner drop in section which was perfect for me. Transitions everywhere. Loved it. I even decided to try my 49inch long board with waterborne adapters on it and it actually worked really well on the transitions. Better than my regular board, which was crazy and unexpected. I can't do that at home though at my much smaller, more street friendly park. 10/10. Would go every day if it wasn't 2 hours away."
"Legit skate park. My son was challenged, but there was a lot of variety which allows him to start on some slightly easier stuff and look forward to dropping in on the bowls. Plenty of rails and things to develop skills and have fun."
"Rumor says it was the first of the famous team Paine skateparks. Definitely a super cool park lights on 24/7. Smooth concrete. And outdoor with brightly lit lights! Making this a rare golden nugget !!"
