Reviews of Rainbow Springs State Park Tube Rentals
"Excellent business from start to finish. Parking near building. Transportation (tram) to near water entry point. Friendly staff and stocked store for last minute necessities. They also hold your car keys for you while tubing. Friendly store staff. Friendly enthusiastic tram driver. Clear instructions. The tubing/floating adventure was beautiful - Crystal clear spring fed river boasting a multitude of marine life, visible while tubing. Very relaxing. Excellent views. The walk back to tube drop off and car may present a challenge for mobility challenged persons but overall a smooth experience from start to finish. A must do for nature/marine life lovers."
"Went tubing on a Sunday morning. Pretty busy but did not look like it reached capacity. Parking at the entrance, clean bathrooms, gift shop that also sold food & other necessities for tubing. They can hold your car keys for u there too. A tram picks u up from there & takes u to the river where u pick up ur tube. Took us about 2 hrs to float down, there will be employees at the exit to wave u down & help u off your tube. Short walk back to the entrance & parking. Water was clear & cool. Would definitely do again."
"They need to improve their customer service, they explain nothing to you, they just assumed you knew. Also do not tell you how much it is or how much they are charging you. One of the most expensive springs I have ever been to. Can only go down the run once when I spent 100.00 which is annoying, but you can go to the head spring and swim. Just cannot take your tubes or the tubes they made you pay 24.00 each for, and you cannot reach the bottom at the head spring. I brought my own tube for the run but still had to pay 24.00 per person which sorry in my opinion, and they still charge you even if you have your own. The spring itself is very pretty and a long run, but will not do it again."
"It was a wonderfully relaxing natural beauty experience. Staff told us it would be a 2 hour float. We floated a little slower than others so took us 2 hours but could be 1.5 for others. Which is a nice amount of time and not too long. You can rent an inflatable cooler but we just took a dry bag and a yeti. No disposable plastic is allowed on the River. There is a small gift shop at the rental point where you can get a snack or dry bags etc before you set out. E.g hot dogs. Life jackets are available. The tram ride is convenient and the office hold your car keys free. The scenery is wonderful, we saw otters and dragonflies landed on us. At some points you may have to paddle your way out of the trees or long grass. The river can get pretty busy especially with other tubes and kayaks that launch further down. We later went down to the swimming area which was included with the ticket you just have to show your receipt keep both receipts if you pay by card as you may need to show both."
