"Today was my first experience at Brown Sugar and when I tell you the service was a 10 outta 10!!! Yeeess!!! I called Regina stressed out about my hair and she put me right on her schedule. Regina daughter was the bomb. That was the best shampoo ever. They both delivered!!"

"Taylor is amazing! Very clean and friendly salon! They make you feel like you have known them for years. The reason for a three star review is due to numerous factors: 1. The prices are ridiculous! Subject to change is greed to me! My boyfriend was not happy with his experience due to being quoted $85 (starting) before we arrived to the salon and then told about extra $40 for a loc style! He was told this when he sat down in the chair to begin his service. He stated he has never paid over $111 for locs, which only touch the back of his neck! Note, I called Regina before arriving to the salon to ask about her pricing for locs. She quoted the $85 price as a starting point and the rest would be quoted after his service. This is bad business! All prices should have been advised up front as I had asked. You don't wait until after a service has been completed to tell us a new price! Thankfully, he had the money! If not, then what? Would we have to sit down again for MORE hours just to re-do his hair? She had the nerve to ask him for a tip! Lol.... 2. We sat for 5-6 hours for service! They booked too many people at once. Taylor worked on 3-4 people within the same hour! 3. Their steam deep conditioning treatment dried my boyfriend's hair out! Bone dry!! They placed him under a hair dryer afterwards and never returned to turn the dryer off after a certain time! 4. The style did not last and his rubber bands broke off in less than a week! Also, I asked Regina how much her bag of chips costs she sells in her wellness center. She quoted me the prices and I stood by the register to get ready to pay her. As another example, she told me she will add the chips "after my service." She stated "I am not going to give them to you for free.." As I stated, I stood by the register willing to pay for the chips. That is why I asked for the price! I like Taylor, but I may need to reconsider another salon. When my people are not treated right, you messed up...."
