"We went here for the special Valentine’s Day dinner last year and they set the bar high. We didn’t know what to expect but they had decorated the inside as well as the tables. There was a little treat cart and the employees were dressed in cute attire. They had a Valentine’s Day spin off of the paper hats and a special menu. The staff was very nice and had a lot of fun. I hope they move it back to this location next year. We went to the one on Jonesboro Road for Valentine’s Day this year and it was a bust."

"I watched the cook Tommy run a 1 man show. He had a full house of dinners and take out orders. Everything came out great, looked good & hot. He never got behind in the orders didn't miss a beat. I told him he was doing an amazing job. Kudos Tommy"

"On New Year’s Day, we ordered online for a pick up order. It obviously took longer for our food to be ready as it was a holiday where many dine at Waffle House. After arriving, I sat in the car for about 5 minutes finishing up a phone call. I noticed a man walking out with a large order that looked to be a larger one like mine. Not thinking too much about it, I went in and was told someone had just picked up my order. I knew that was not correct. I remembered the guy walking out with the large order and I quickly put it all together that he was the man that they gave my order. I asked what his name was and where his ticket was. I was told, AFTER the lady looked at my ticket and online order to figure out my last name, that he used that same name as well. I knew this was false as I did not know him and he didn't know me. Instead of coming forward with the mistake and seeing how they could help make it right, they continued to deny wrongdoing of not appropriately identifying him or his order. I asked if I could get my money back for my $70 order and was told no because they would be out the money. I questioned Frank, head cook, and Cindy, manager, as to how that was right that I should have to pay for someone else’s food that they FAILED to confirm identity and order for. They again refused to help in any way except to remake the food and have me wait. Only after I told them that I would take it to corporate when reopening after the holiday, did the head cook, Frank, come back over to me and say that what he MEANT to say was that he COULDN’T refund me because it was an online order. I told him that was not true as he told me no such thing, nor did he offer to help initiate a refund from corporate, or it would have been a different scenario. I am a very forgiving person as I know we all make mistakes but the lack of respect and honesty was appalling. On the way out, another employee told me she was sorry I was treated badly and agreed it was wrong. I do not normally write bad reviews, only good reviews as I know the importance of good reviews for businesses. However, the treatment I received needed to be shared in hopes of others not experiencing the same."

"This waffle house gets 5 stars! We were on the road for Christmas and this was the only place open near our hotel. We were immediately seated and served. The staff was friendly, hard working, and fast. This place seemingly runs well and they serve good affordable food. Would recommend!"

"Both Waffle Houses in Locust Grove are NOT GOOD! The old one has a manager who doesn’t care, they have chased off all of the staff they’ve had for 13 yrs and the current staff needs much improvement. The New location is a hit or miss on good food. The store is clean but has the feel of a very unfriendly place. Rarely will you ever get your order cooked your way. Sadly the upper management has ignored all the issues and complaints about these locations! I’m not speaking of DM as he works stores regularly but all management above him and at corporate level. They have ignored (13-15 yr) customers complaints and concerns. If your traveling Go to Rd location in McDonough closet to the interstate. Cooks (Walter) and wait staff (Kim) are all outstanding! Corporate Waffle House, Atlanta should really pay much more attention to what your Regional Managers are doing. He really doesn’t care about losing regular customers and is willing to sacrifice what was a fantastic and top ranked location to better another location. Terrible Business Plan and even worse for customer retention!"
