"First of all, I was desperate to get an appointment to get my hair a silk press and a hydration treatment. My mom and I found the Purple Door Salon. Second, the salon is beautiful, clean and smells so good! Third, everyone said hello to me even those who were not my stylist! I love friendly! Fourth, my stylist was LYRIC. And let me tell you, she can DO some hair! She gave me an amazing wash, hydration treatment and a bomb BLUNT CUT! Omg!!! She showed me how much hair she was planning to cut and was not scissor happy. I put my full trust in her for the health of my hair & I WILL BE BACK and bringing my family along with me! Forever client!!!! I have not sweat my hair out nor has it gotten frizzy which usually happens with a usual press. Lyric works magic with those hands! They are blessed & she worked a miracle on my hair. It looks healthy, flows and beautiful. I feel like a new woman! She’s so gentle too! Come here if your looking for healthy hair & a stunning new do."

"The style and layout of this salon is breath taking. It is not only clean, but the stylist are very sociable. However, when I went in for a blowout I did not get a look that lasted - sadly. I have natural hair and I mentioned that I needed a special product for natural hair to keep my blowout intact. My stylist assured me it would hold and whenever i left, late in the afternoon, my hair was intact. The problem is when I woke up in the morning my hair had started to curl up already. I paid $70 dollar for a blowout that didn't even last a full 24 hours; to be exact it had only been 13 hours. Now I've gotten a blowout before, but for $50 back home and it lasted for a week and left my hair feeling like silk, that is not what I felt when I got this one but I figured as long as it stayed I would be happy. Yet it hadn't held up and I feel as though I've wasted money. I appreciated the effort, but I most likely won't come here again. The stylists were great, I just need a special product to keep my hair from frizzing and curling back up. So I've giving three stars for the stylists and the shop itself, but I can't give five stars on account of my pervious statements."
