"I never had my hair serviced here, but I am disappointed by the mishandling of my appointment at the Cascade location. I’m a busy professional and mom to an infant who needs extra help with washing my locs, so I scheduled a shampoo only over my lunch period. I visited the establishment one week prior to my appointment to ask if the person washing my hair would be able to start on time (1230) and was told that it shouldn’t take more than 30 min. Why did I get a call a few days later informing me that the 1230 slot was overbooked and they would not be able to start until 1pm. I was told that it was an online scheduling mishap. I find that hard to believe as most sophisticated scheduling systems will not allow you to overbooked unless someone gave the okay to override the system. I explained that I was on a tight schedule and could not wait 30 min. The receptionist apologized and offered to reschedule me as no one else could wash my hair that day. In this situation, if no one was available to wash my hair at the scheduled time, then my appointment slot should take priority. I understand this is a business and you have to make money, but not at the expense of treating your customers with respect and honoring the time they set aside to support your establishment. I did not reschedule and will be looking for a place that honors my time and starts on time."

"I got my starter locs done at the cascade location. I wasn’t informed all they do is diamond parts which sucks because I wanted a straight middle part now I have an off center part with a curve and on top of that I have 3 different loc sizes. Upon going back to discuss my unhappiness with the final product I felt I wasn’t really being heard out on what I wanted and they were just trying to pacify me enough to get me out of their face. It’s seeming they do offer the services of what I initially wanted but they said “that’s a whole other price range”… needless to say I don’t recommend starting your locs here, i will be taking my business else where! I wasted $400+ on a final product I’m unhappy with even though I showed inspired pics on what it was that I wanted"

"Everyone was nice and professional. The salon was very nice and stylish. My stylist Alexis was great, professional and was very gentle (without even disclosing I was tender headed). She provided her recommendations based off the condition of my hair and delivered on my style request, knot loc bob. I’ve already booked my next appt."

"I’ve been to shea locs about 4 times 2 at the south lake mall location & the other times at the Cascade location. Yesterday was the worst experience I ever had came in for a crown and it wasn’t a crown these ladies watched the young lady do a horrible job and didn’t say anything called back the next day to get it restyled and they said yes to come in at 4 got there at 4 & waited 30mins. The lady was so heavy handed I don’t know if she was intentionally grabbing my hair so tight ok that wasn’t a problem but by the time I got home my head was hurting so bad I had to take the style down again. Just be mindful who you let do your hair it’s the energy for me. & as a business owner myself I feel that shea locs needs to remember they’re loyal customers and not treat people any type of way because of a redo"
