Reviews
"I love these ladies. They all are good. Julie, the owner, is the sweetest. I usually get braids, but recently i got a sew in with a closure. Julie did the install and it did not disappoint."
"Julie does beautifully detailed braids. I had crochet braids and they exceeded my expectations. I referred my son for dreads and he said his hair never looked this good. Staff is so professional and they have a wide selection of hair. These professionals can handle any style and other customers were more than satisfied as well. I will keep coming back."
"GREATEST HAIR STYLIST I’VE EVER HAD IN MY 33 YEARS OF HAVING HAIR. TAKES HER TIME TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS DONE PERFECTLY I’LL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE. VERY VERY SATISFIED WITH HER SERVICE."
"Their excuse in their responses to other reviews is that they don't have enough braiders, so if that's the case, then don't take walk-ins. Braid quality=good, but customer service=bad. Although this did not turn out to be a totally good experience, I am going to start with what was good. First, it might be important to bring your own braiding hair because they might not have the color or enough packs to finish your hair and it's cheaper. However, I love the color that I got, it was a decent quality, I like my braids although I did not want my hair parted in skinny sections nor is midback length butt length, and fortunately, they had enough hair to finish my braids. Now for the real experience. I arrived at the shop around 7:45 am because they advertise that they open at 7am. However, the shop was not open. Therefore, I called and was told that if they don't have appointments scheduled at 7am, then they don't open until 9am. Well, next she asked me if I was at the shop and I responded that I was and she asked if I could wait on her to arrive in about 20 minutes and I stated that I would. In about 10 minutes or so, the lady called me back and told me to go to the shop because someone was waiting in there and although I did not see anyone arrive at the shop, there was a lady in there to open the door and not long after that, I guess the lady that I spoke on the phone with arrived as well. Ok, so far, so good. I selected the hair color, asked about the price, and was told that it would take four hours to do knotless braids especially since I asked that they not be "skinny." At this time, both ladies started on my hair around 8:40am, which was a good thing, since I had a plane to catch at 5pm, but lo and behold, a lady walked in with her daughter, who had a head full of thick, long hair and stated that she had a 9am appointment and she wanted skinny knotless braids. Well, it all went downhill from there. The lady who started on the front of my hair and was the fastest braider, left me to work on the young girl's hair and that left the lady who was slower, who continued to work on the back, but she was very gentle in braiding my hair, so I thought that was a good thing. However, when the fastest braider decided to come back to my hair two hours later, after finishing the top of the young girl's hair, the lady who was braiding the back of my hair left to start on another child's hair. Now it got to be around 1:30pm and I started to get irritated because the braider's that I used before were working alone and finished my hair in four hours and that was being on their phones and talking amongst themselves all "too much." So at this point, I reminded them that they started on my hair at 9am and that it had been 4.5 hours and I had to catch a plane at 5pm. It did not seem to matter and they seemed to make a joke of it (not in English) and to add insult to injury, the fast braider left my hair and started on a teenager's hair. Now I'm asking why couldn't she help the slower braider finish my hair since I had been there for half a day and had to catch a plane, so she ignored me and kept doing what she was doing when there was only a patch in the top of my head that need to be completed. Well, I didn't leave that shop until 3:30pm, 6.5 hours later, which was ridiculous! The fast braider was fast, but she took so much time just parting my hair in little parts and putting a whole glob of that "braiding glue" on each section of my hair. It doesn't take all that to braid hair. So from now on, I will purchase my own hair, carefully read reviews of these braid shops and most of all, make sure that I have an appointment and not return to this shop. Oh yes, I missed my flight and had to get a later flighter with a layover. smh"
"My daughter and I love our new styles. This was our first time here, and I can truly say the quality and care is top notch. This was the first time I ever had braids and my head didn't hurt. I got knotless curly box braids, and they are lightweight and beautiful. 2 braiders had me in and out in under 4 hours. My daughter was done in 2. I'm so excited to have a really good stylist nearby. We'll be back."
