"I've been to this location multiple times in the past and have decent experiences golfing there. But this last time on Dec 15 will be my last because of the very disappointing experience I had there. 1. The wait time for each hole was at least 10 ~15 minutes long. It made for a disappointing golfing experience. 2. There was one group ahead of me that was taking especially long, was rowdy, had very loud music playing from their cart, and was uncourteous to the many other players waiting for our turns, myself included (there were at least 5 groups behind me). When I politely asked if they minded if I as a single player could go ahead of their large group, they were unnecessarily rude to my request. A man in the group said he was the manager of the place so he was entitled to go at whatever pace he pleased and he and his friends were having a good time. He and his friends were visibly intoxicated. He told me that "if I didn't like playing here then I can take my money elsewhere". When I told him that I didnt appreciate his attitude and rude manner he was speaking to me, e even went as far as to tell me that "he never wants to see me at his golf course again". His behavior and comments were beyond appalling. 3. After I finally finished the course and clarified with the front office if the man in the group ahead of me indeed was the course manager, the receptionist and other staff confirmed the information. I told them about the inappropriate and disappointing interaction between myself and the manager. They didn't apologize for the poor experience I had or try to make the matter right. They just listened to my complaint without any response. They did not seem even slightly interested in treating their customers well or treating them with any courtesy or respect. I will not return to this establishment and I would absolutelg not recommend this place to any golfers. DON'T LOSE TIME DON'T WASTE MONEY DON'T GET A STRESS"
"I've been playing golf three days a week for about a year, and I'm very satisfied with the friendly staff and the manager. However, there is one issue I take very seriously: there is one marshal who is extremely unfriendly, overly aggressive, and appears to display racial discrimination, which makes me uncomfortable. I'm considering switching to another golf course because of this issue."
"It’s something new every time. It’s not that they’re rude or anything, but it’s run poorly. You’re consistently waiting on 1-2 groups ahead of you, as there’s horrible pace management, and no Marshall attends when people are taking 3-4 shots every shot or running around the course. Today, I showed up for my tee time ready to pay for a rider fee for my wife, and they wouldn’t allow it despite 12 empty carts on a surprisingly quiet Friday afternoon. Would’ve had to send her home and ride with a random. Lost my $5 reservation fee. He said he could fit us in 1.5 hrs later but I had to pay for her round for her to ride with me. Idk, maybe that’s the standard and I’m the wrong one, but it seems absolutely absurd. At least they didn’t make me pay, the guy was nice. But I don’t understand why you’d wanna lose the revenue of a round of golf rather than just let us take an empty cart."
"I have been treated in a helpful and friendly manner by all the staff at Sugar Hill offices and grill on site. This is a challenging course that will make you a better golfer if you work at it. Especially enjoyable is the Men's league Monday nights and starts around 5:00PM where you compete with the others attending for 9 holes- Great fun and stress buster after work. My only wish is to get more Monday night competition on the back 9! See you there!"
"I only play here about once a year during a church tournament and the course has a lot of nice views and seems to be in decent condition. It's super hilly though. I can't really comment on the staff and service since tournaments are a little different than normal circumstances."
