"This place was Awesome! It was our first time here and it won't be our last. There was some much to do that we weren't able to finish it all. The staff was super friendly and knowledge. The campsites are very spacious."
"This campground is nicely maintained with nice level parking pads. The camp hosts are friendly & helpful. Very pretty wooded campsites. There's no access to the water in the camp area. When we arrived at the camp check in area, we could see part of the falls (see park map), but didn't really get a chance to enjoy it. Best advice: if you do not have some mode of transportation while parked at a site, you must be able to hike fairly long distances to enjoy the whole park. Unfortunately we are older and didn't have any transportation to see the rest of the park. The most we could handle was a short hike to barely see the river (see pic). We were in pull through site #51. Thinking it would be a nice view of water, based on the site map (see pic), but it was all trees. Even if you walk down closer to the water, there's very little to see and too steep to try to get closer."
"Our first time here, our oldest daughter's family buddy camped with us. Laid back and quiet....except for the neighbors across the river; the horses and dogs could get noisy at times. They did like their music loud enough for us to critique at times. We will stay here again."
"Great state park campground, kind of silly that you have to check in across the street from the campground before heading up the road to your site. We saw a lot of campers have to turn around and head back after reaching the gate with no code to get in. Other than that it was a great stay, a little pricey for a state park, over $80 for 2 nights with no sewer hook up and only a 30amp electric. Also be prepared to spend an additional $5 per car on a parking pass that isn't included in your site fees. We stayed at the Riverside loops, which seemed like larger sites compared to the lakeside loops. Beautiful falls across the street, great looking pool and mini golf could use some love. Probably won't be back, lots of other places for cheaper and the same experience. Be sure to make the drive over to Indian springs State Park, your park pass is good there too, beautiful falls that you can stick your feet into."
"We stayed 5 nights on site #23, pull-through, pretty leveled, easy access, good space. It was peaceful, love walking around, the view of the dam is fantastic and the trails were phenomenal! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The roads are a bit narrow but very easy to navigate around. The only thing I didn't like was not having any cell signal at all, I had to drive out everyday to check the weather and communicate with love ones. We camped at High Falls State Park in a Travel Trailer."
