Reviews of Hair Barn
"I have the best hairdresser that cares. I love her so much. I had a bad hair day in September of 2022. Waited one year before I tried again. I found her again. I am blessed believe me. I sit in her chair and she does her magic. I have her for life. These ladies do you right. Thank you to the Hair Barn and those ladies that make those scissors do magic."
"Great place near home. I'm always happy with my hair when I leave. Carter takes good care of me and listens to what I want. Very sweet woman."
"The ladies who work here are AMAZING! Especially Judy Landrum who always does a great job on my hair!"
"I have gone to Cuttin' Edge (labeled Hair Barn in Google Maps) for several years now with my hair dresser, Teresa. However, I had my last visit here today. I had to take my one year old with me to my appointment and the last hour I was there, he got a little fussy - not bad but still, fussy. The owner (not Teresa) approached me while I'm getting my hair cut and trying desperately to satisfy my son. She proceeded to tell me that I shouldn't have brought him. I apologized and said I tried to get a babysitter but it didn't work out so I had to bring him. She then told me I should have cancelled because people were trying to relax. Seriously?! If he was running around, or screaming or something outrageous then I might would have been more understanding of her need to say that. Yes, he was making noise and yes, I would have preferred to not have brought him because I too would like to relax but it was not necessary to say we shouldn't have come. Needless to say, I won't be back - not going to give my business to a place that is not understanding and sympathetic to people with children, nor to someone who was rude. **Needed to make addition after reading Sarah Morris' review. I do agree with her in that the staff is friendly and until today all my experiences have been positive! And we love Teresa! My review was not against them at all. It was the way the owner handled the situation. She could've asked if I needed help or waited 5-10 minutes for me to be done then pull me aside to discuss it. You don't tell one of your regular paying customers they are not welcome or shouldn't have come with their child in the middle of the salon. I find that unnecessary and yes, rude. And since Sarah wanted to "set the record straight" I thought I would fill in the details she missed in her exaggeration. He was not "screaming constantly for 3 hours". Most of the first hour we were there he was quietly sitting in his stroller watching his tablet, then we went outside while my color set, and that he sat in my lap playing on my phone until it was time to get the cut started and that's when he got especially noisy. Now I'm not saying he was quiet the whole time - he was not! He was acting like a 15 month old. And yes he did have a few loud outbursts along the way but he wan't screaming for 3 hours straight. Obviously, she was bothered (maybe others too) and I do hate that."
"I have been a customer at Cutting Edge for the past 5 years and have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone I have encountered personally and as stylists. They are all very friendly and accommodating always. After reading the review of Cherri Simmons I wanted to set the record straight. I was also a customer there today and I can tell you (even as a mother of 3 myself) that baby was not a little fussy for an hour. That baby screamed ear piercing screams constantly for nearly 3 hours while I was there. It was nerve racking to everyone there. The staff and owner were very polite and never rude to Cherri. I can understand the frustration as a parent of a screaming baby but do not place the burden of your frustration on a staff or business that clearly acted professionally."
