Sichuan House Atlanta (Lao Sichuan)

"This is an excellent Chinese restaurant that features an extensive menu with American Chinese and Authentic Chinese dishes. We had Dumplings, Kung Pao Chicken (Sichuan Style), Cumin Beef, Green Beans (Sichuan Style), and Mixed Vegetables. Everything we sampled was delicious with excellent flavor and the perfect blend of spices. My recommendation is to eat there with a group of 6-8 people and sit at a lazy susan table. Each person can order a dish or two to be shared with everyone. This restaurant is a family style restaurant where each dish is enough to be shared with a group of people."

"If you are looking for some authentic Sichuan food , this is the place to go to. I have tried other local restaurants in the area but nothing can beat this place. We have been here almost every month and some of our favorites are always from their authentic Chinese menu. Three pepper chicken is a must have. Tasty lamb is to die for...its taste is so subtle yet so tasty. Since we go here regularly we sometimes request a Tasty Chicken which is not on their menu , but they gladly oblige a serve it. The twice cooked pork belly is out of this world. The mushroom and snow pea tip is equally awesome. Nov 2 2023 , this place continues to maintain the best Sichuan cuisine."

"Very friendly staff (friendliest I've seen at a chinese restaurant) and very delicious food. The fried fish was amazing, and I really loved the beef soup they had on the specials menu. I would greatly recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves spicy Chinese food!"

"Overall, I had a mixed experience SHA. The food was good, but the waiter was kinda pushy and I was surprised by the automatic gratuity. The food was pretty good and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the fried fish (even though it was smaller than expected). The portion size for mapo tofu was generous. The waiter was friendly, but he was also very pushy. He kept trying to get us to order certain dishes. I was also surprised to see that the restaurant automatically adds a gratuity of 18-22%. 1-2 party gets 18% (the % itself is already what I normally give but it’s weird)."

"Such a wonderful experience ~ the older gentleman who greeted us and checked up on us continuously throughout the visit was so sweet and really made the trip worth it. Things you should know: I. PARKING Sichuan House is within a plaza and shares a FREE public parking lot with the adjacent businesses. Easy. II. SERVICE Timely, accommodating, and personable. The sole reason I gave this restaurant it's rating. III. QUALITY I've had a fair share of Chinese food from countless experiences with exchange students and close friends. I would rate this as mediocre; however, we only tried a couple dishes here so maybe we didn't get the ideal ones. IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of seating available for dinner hours on a Saturday. We were happy there wasn't a wait and we were seated right away!"
