Reviews
"We came here for a nice Friday date night since we saw the reviews were great for the food. When we got there we were somewhat stranded at our table and no one came to fill our water for about 5 minutes which was strange for a more high end place to eat. Overall the service wasn’t great but we just ordered everything all at once so we didn’t have to deal with it too much. I think they are just really understaffed so they don’t have enough time to wait every table. The cocktails are amazing. I had the purple butterfly and it was a fun combination of flavors that I really enjoyed. The calamari had good flavor but definitely over cooked. My main course, the truffle pasta, had a good vision but was kind of cold when it got to me which was disappointing since it was a creamy pasta dish. My partners dish, the signature red pasta was amazing however, so that made it worth the visit. Overall, if you expect minimal service and focus on the food, cocktails and a really lively/ romantic atmosphere it’s a place worth going to once."
"As a very well-fed, well-traveled foodie, I must say I will return here for the rich depth of flavors in all aspects of my meal. My palate was delighted with my indulgences throughout the entirety of this meal. The layered creamy tiramisu espresso martini was topped with a fluffy powdery coating of cocoa powder, the shrimp cocktail garnished with a crisp and light (not overly sweet) cocktail sauce, calamari was crispy and supple and layered with peppers and edible marinated lemons, lobster bucatini was conservatively creamy with lumps of fresh lobster claw meat, lasagna was the most impressive and unique presentation of lasagna I’ve ever seen and danced with flavors of Sicilian oregano (I know because I brought Sicilian oregano back from Sicily), and I can go on and on. And, you are wondering, how did I taste all of this and more? I always intend to taste everything at my table. I devoured each dish as my family shared everything with each other (note to self: wear sweat pants tomorrow), and even though we can be very snooty with our Italian food being Italian-philes , having traveled to all regions in Italy over 7 times from Salento to Como and beyond, we were impressed with the precision and care with each dish was thoughtfully prepared and presented. My absolute favorites included the fresh large jumbo shrimp cocktail (i must reiterate it was accompanied with a thoughtfully prepared crisp, light, evenly-spiced cocktail sauce-definitely custom made in house!), the lightly crisped flavorful calamari (not overshadowed with thick heavy batter) and my husband’s dish which I don’t recall the name of, but it was a spicy possibly squid ink spaghetti dish with lentils, clams and shrimp—so unexpectedly delicious and full of seafood! Let me not forget truffle Parmesan French fries, which wasn’t on the menu, but they graciously catered to our request since it was early in the evening (not yet too busy as it was a 5:30 seating) and brought it for us from the hotel bar! The service was impeccable, our server and the restaurant manager were very welcoming, friendly and checked on us frequently throughout the meal so we felt well taken care of. The ambience was romantic, dim lit, elegant atmosphere in which we could pleasantly have a conversation over dinner. I can ramble on and on but if you’re in the mood for DELICIOUS Italian food, and some of the best dinner service in Atlanta in a beautiful romantic atmosphere, this is a perfect place for a girls/guys night, romantic dinner, family dinner, or discrete business meeting. We will return to this gem of a restaurant in Buckhead very soon!"
"Great service, the scallop risotto was to die for. Tiramisu was soooo creamy and deliciously rich. We really enjoyed our date night. Definitely is not to be missed when visiting the area."
"My favorites: shrimp cocktail; lasagna and tiramisu. That’s all I need for the happy dance! Love coming here. Great staff, good cocktails (one will get you smiling) ."
"Atlanta Eats was spot on again!! Not sure why they got a 4.3 rating. The appetizers were amazing. We had the meatballs and shrimp cocktail. Great tasting meatballs and the shrimp were huge. I hate going somewhere and have to pay for bread, but it had a great taste. My kids had the Lasagna. First time I've ever seen a Lasagna roll. They thought the sauce was great and when you got to the middle there was plenty of meat. I had the Veal Parmigiana and a side of pasta with sauce. Very tender veal!!! Great tomato sauce. Great tasting drinks!!! Not watered down. The hotel next door will valet park, but don't use the garage. No military discount. Overall, great experience and I will go back."
