Food comes in large portions - you will not leave hungry! Anyone hating on the owner and leaving unjustified negative reviews needs to grow up and go touch grass."

"Ignore the recent spamming of 1* reviews, none of them are real. They're just angry social media followers of another chef. One person claimed the scallops weren't cooked and they don't serve scallops, lol. They're clearly all lying just to try to hurt a small business. I went on a busy brunch weekend and everyone was so accommodating and nice. The owner walked around making sure everyone eating was satisfied. The food was also *amazing*, going way beyond basic breakfast food. My fried chicken thighs and sourdough waffle was one of the best brunch meals I've ever had. The biscuit was buttery and delicious. The cinnamon roll is massive, and also worth getting. If you don't like a lot of pulp in freshly squeezed OJ, that's the only thing you might not like here, but it's certainly healthy! Ignore the haters, and actually give this place a chance. You won't regret it. I can't wait to go back."

"Hen Mother Cookhouse has earned the title of my favorite brunch spot in Alpharetta. The exquisite seasoning in their dishes and delightful drink selections never fail to impress. However, be prepared for a bit of a wait; our Friday visit had us waiting around 30 minutes, and I've heard it can get even busier on weekends. One unique aspect is their unconventional paging system – no buzzing devices here. Instead, the host ventures to the parking lot, calling out party names. It adds a touch of charm to the overall experience. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did want French Toast and Chicken and although the Chicken & Waffles are listed separately on the menu, they told me they weren’t able to honor my request. Overall, the service and flavors are top-notch, making Hen Mother Cookhouse a must-visit brunch destination in Alpharetta."

"We went to Hen mother cookhouse brunch on New year's day. The place was busy but we were able to get seating within 10 minutes of us reaching there without prior reservation. Here is the summary of my experience there: Ambiance 4/5: The place is small but looks good for a casual day out to have food and also it was brimming with people especially since it was the New year. Service 3/5: The service was prompt and helpful and the best part was that they were able to give us seating within 10 minutes without prior reservation - The reason I am giving them a 3/5 is that they have so many in-house rules and they do not let you do modifications to a lot of food. - Another reason that I feel creates inconvenience to the guests is that you cannot look at their weekend online menu unless its the weekend (on their official website as well) so you cannot prepare yourself for an incoming weekend brunch since the menu changes Food 4/5: We ordered the following: 1) XXL Cookhouse Chicken Biscuit: We had crispy chicken thighs which I liked. Their baked potato was one of the best I have had in the USA. However, I did not like their biscuit. 2) Chicken and Waffles: Again the chicken was the same as above. The waffles were soft but the maple syrup was from Vermont which was thin and sugary and I did not like it. Value for Money 4/5: Although the dishes were pricey, the portion was huge so we took a box back home and had it later as well. Summary: In summary, I really wanted to give them 4 stars but the rules and firmness to not customize the order does bring a little inconvenience to the customers. If you are good with the rules, I would definitely recommend giving it a visit."
