"My husband & I have been dining at The Ridge since 2009. We drove over an hour to dine on Valentine's Day this evening & booked a reservation for 8 pm. Arrived twenty minutes early and were seated forty minutes later. The girl working the reservations told the person seating us that there were three tables available. I asked where these were located - when she took us back the lady serving water told her to seat us in a very small corner facing the wall. I immediately asked if we could be seated at the other two tables. We were refused. Should have left then. Seated the people that had arrived much later than us at the other two tables. The lighting was horrible there- had to use the light on my phone to see the menu not to mention that my husband & I hardly had room to sit at the table. Sat twenty minutes waiting for anyone to come by our table to just offer us waters while I observed the other two tables not only receive waters, but other drinks & place their orders. The same girl serving water kept going to one of the two tables & kept talking to the couple. It is apparent they were buddies. She made five trips to their table to talk with them while they were there. She came to our table one time to refill our waters during our entire visit & tried to say things were messed up because their computer system had gone down over an hour before yet they seemed to be working fine when we were seated. Ordered cocktails - they were ok. Ordered salads - they came with incorrect dressings. Took food over an hour to receive from the time we were seated & to top it off the girl bringing our food served it to the couple in front of us that had already received their food then served it to us. When I confronted her - the comment made was "but they never touched it! " When we told her we would accept the food because we had waited more than a hour she slammed the plates onto the table & walked off. Never so much as apologized. We should have asked to see the manager. Totally unbelievable!!! We should have rejected it & sent back. Not what you would expect of a restaurant on Valentine’s Day! Food tasted alright. Will never be back!!!!"
"We went last night, arriving at 7:20, and we were promptly seated. The waitress took our drink order and brought to the table in fairly quick based on the crowd. While my wife's drink was good, mine, on the rocks straight, was watered down. The waitress made it right, kudos. After 10 minutes our order was placed for dinner. One hour fifteen minutes later, with zero communication from the waitress, I get up to find out what is going on, a hostess asked what table we were at, following back to the table. She said that she would check on it and turned around and our dinner was arriving, an hour and half after we got there. Our waitress apologized for the wait and said that she would be coming by to check on us. Not a peep from her after that point, nice job!!! The manager then came by to apologize and explain to us that they were short handed, extra busy etc, etc. She then asked if we had had any appetizers, of which we didn't, and says that she doesn't know how but she will figure out something to compensate us. Another 10 minutes goes by and the waitress comes and asked if we needed anything, we tell her no, just a to-go carton and the check. Reviewing the check, the manager didn't adjust anything off the check, not even a drink. I don't look for handouts and have no problem with paying my bill but if you're management and you tell your customers something, follow through, don't dodge and hide."
"We visited The Ridge for the first time a couple of days before Christmas. What an enjoyable experience! Our server was super friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxing, the music offered by their singer/guitarist was perfect, and the food was just great. They offer some really unique appetizers and sides. Of course we both had steaks, but we also enjoyed the croissants and squash casserole. We're looking forward to returning in the future."
"We went here for my wife's birthday. I had the marinated ribeye steak and baked potato. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it showed up medium well. I usually send it back and cancel my order, but since it was my wife's b-day, I chose to just go with it. It was chewy. The baked potato was a little dry but not bad. Hard to mess that up. She had the Filot Mignon with mash potatoes and Ceasars salad. She enjoyed it. The croissant with honey butter was awesome. The staff were very friendly. Leona was our waitress and made many visits to our table outside the normal. There are 2 handicap parking spaces in front. With the older crowd that eats here, there should be more because the parking lot is in poor shape, filled with uneven surfaces and potholes. Safety hazard with low lighting. I don't think I'll go back unless my wife makes me."
"The food and service was excellent. The entres that we ordered were very good and reasonably priced. In addition, they went out of their way to please. I ordered an Old Fashioned and they didn't have oranges, so I ordered straight bourbon. Halfway into the meal the manager came over and apologized and said he sent someone out for oranges. About 20 minutes later he asked if I wanted an Old Fashioned for dessert. I said yes, of course. The waitress brought it over. It was strong and complimentary. This was an unexpected very pleasant surprise. We will definitely go back."
