"I have been going here for years & I normally go every now & then. I bought ackee & salt fish & found hair in my food. When I let the cook Carneil know about it he was rude & acted like he didn’t care. The cashier said if she would’ve known that was what I wanted to tell him then she wouldn’t have called him. She did apologize for unconvincing of the hair but I was trying to figure out how the heck it got in there when there were male cooks. This the first time I have ever found hair in my food from there & I probably won’t be going back. Horrible customer service & the owner Johnathan wasn’t there."
"We drove 20 mins in traffic to try out fireside. Mixed reviews from other persons but we needed to try for ourselves. Our server was a Jamaican and he was pleasant with servicing us. We had the oxtail with callaloo rice, jerk chicken and fish tea. The jerk chicken was tender on the inside and not dry. The oxtail was well seasoned and really tasted good with the callaloo rice. The fish tea was also great to start off with. My only wish was it could have been much more hotter with less ground provisions in the cup. I will definitely come back…."
"Good day, this restaurant was my redeemer when other Jamaican restaurants failed. I am disappointed in the way both salt fish butter bean and salt fish okra was prepared. Based on the photos it was more butter beans than salt fish as well as more okra than salt fish. Absolutely no gravy whatsoever, food was dry!. I have no problem paying the cost but the chefs has to do a whole lot better than this. My conclusion is if you want more customers, put more love into cooking for the people."
"I ordered a curry goat plate and to my surprise, I found a long hair in my food. I can’t even eat this. I called to inform them but no answer. Because of this I won’t return unfortunately. There is a good amount of food given for the price, but this was also a lot to spend only to have hair in it. I really hate this…."
"I had got a large oxtail with rice & peas & it was not fresh, it tasted like the rice was old from yesterday & they added fresh rice on top so after the rice was almost finished I got the old rice that was on the bottom. The oxtail was not fully cooked & I literally vomit everything. I’m super upset & do not appreciate this kind of service. They charge a whole bunch of money for something that isn’t cooked properly or fresh. Never again!"
