"Beautiful new restaurant, but I'd take the Smyrna location & food over the 'new' experience any day. The dishes were all plated nicely but... [Note: management was notified of feedback, errors, and experience. At the time of visit, one dish was excluded from the bill, but the overall concern or hospitality was lacking] Food: The green beans are usually one of my favorites! They were good, not great. Flavor wasn't as pronounced, and they either weren't cooked hot & fast enough, or sat for too long- lacking texture. Bamboo Fish was pretty good. Nice, light texture on the outside, seasoning was too light, and the fish was, for me, lacking texture- it was so buttery & delicate, it had a mushy consistency. Cumin lamb is a dish I thoroughly enjoy. This dish, here, is not one I'd revisit again. First, the cut of lamb here isn't cooked properly...I actually sent back the first dish to be re-cooked. The second go- barely a better experience. Again, an under-seasoned dish. This dish welcomes big flavor, and I could barely taste any cumin, or anything pronounced for that matter. Rou Jia Mo: (not pictured) 'Chinese hamburger' Again, no flavor. You could pick up on the jalapeños as there were so many, that is all. The buns- what happened? The appearance, texture, flavor...no thanks. What a shame. Soup: (not pictured) Both the egg drop & wonton soups were very light, yet flavorful. Fried wonton crisps, served on the side- stale. Service: Started out amazing! Halfway through the dining experience, it went downhill very quickly. The server was very polite, and the attention to detail was exceptional, to start. Drinks were never refilled and the server was non existent for the last half of the experience. It seemed as though the manager(s) where there for a good time of their own. Instead of joking around at the bar, perhaps invest the same energy into the guests. It will be quite awhile before, if any, return visits would happen."
"I came here for a friends bday dinner. We were a group of up to 40 ppl. The service could have been better. It took awhile for them to come around and take our food order. Once the food came out, it was just ok. I had the lamb and the bang bang shrimp. The shrimp put me in the mind of sweet and sour shrimp. Not a lot of flavor. I expected some kind of spice based on the name and trying out other bang bang shrimp elsewhere. The lamb had more cilantro than I would have wanted but it was a nice portion and I was able to take some togo. They had a seasonal/holiday drink menu. The drink wasn’t good and I honestly wanted to send it back but opted to drink my water instead. I went around the table to ask what everyone else thought of their dishes and most gave this establishment and the food a 3."
"Definitely worth checking out, the baiju cocktails are not to be missed! The food was very hot and flavorful though not as spicy as we hoped, so very approachable for those not into super-spicy food. The Dan Dan noodle was my favorite and the Kung Pao chicken super savory. Our server Michelle was very attentive, all of which is to say we’ll be back to try more dishes and see how spicy they can go! Plenty of parking, roof deck isn’t open yet but looks like it’ll be fun. Place is new so some of the decor isn’t fully flushed out yet but that will come. You’re here for the spicy food anyways right? So glad to see another (perhaps the best?) sichuan option in the Smyrna/Vinings area."
"Decided to grab lunch here on Sunday. We were seated immediately and the new location is very nicely decorated and has a nice atmosphere that is calming and very classy. Ordered some delicious food and we were served quickly. Started with some Dan Dan noodles that were very delicious; there was a little bit of the numbing sensation and I had never experienced that but everything was so delicious with pork and peanuts and a good heat. We also ordered kung pao chicken which was delicious. They were out of the crispy fragrant ribs, so we ordered the pork with garlic sauce instead and we were not disappointed. The pork was very tender and very tasty. The only reason for the 4 star is because when we asked for boxes, the waitress brought the check as well and started to clear the table and took a plate that still had leftovers on it that I planned to pack up but she took away (I don’t think realizing there was still food on there). Besides that, service was good. I do want to return here and discover new dishes."
"Our favorite Szechuan place.. we've been going for years and are delighted now that the new location's open off powers ferry. Placed a togo order today just to get some of our staple dishes !! Everything is simply delicious. Dry shredded chicken, crispy beef, bamboo fish, bang bang shrimp.. yummy. The menu options are plentiful and you can't pick a wrong meal here. The new building is beautiful and also spacious, tasteful and bright decor, and the atmosphere is quite inviting. Can't wait to go back~"
