Steak 'n Shake

"I’m assuming the lack of cleanliness, burnt food, and messed up order is due to shortage of staff or simply bad management. I hope they can do better and go back to their glory days."

"19 Dec 2022 - 2:15pm. A refreshingly wonderful experience. So many restaurants seem to have forgotten what "quality" "hospitality" and "service" are... This restaurant seems to remember what it's all about. The management and staff are very efficient, accommodating and most importantly, respectful. One woman even came over to us and asked us if everything was good and if we needed anything else. Wait, what?! I've never had anyone at any other steak n Shake do that before. After our meal, I walked over to her to thank her for being so polite and to comment on how well this particular location was being run. I know I shouldn't be shocked by common courtesy, and by people doing their jobs well. But so many restaurants have lost their way ever since covid. Sad. But these people got it right! Thank you!"

"Great service here from the staff. Alot of parking. We didn't have to wait long for our fresh food and shakes. Only issue was the bathroom. One of the bathroom toilets didn't flush. Very minor. But the food was overall amazing and service was great. My one year old absolutely loves the fries. We simply ordered at the kiosk and it was a quick process. Even the kids were ae to pick what they liked. The menu is very easy to read and navigate."

"It's been a couple of years since I last came to a steak n shake due to a multiple bad experiences with another location that has since shut down (thank goodness). Came here to eat with some friends. Food taste wise. it taste pretty good and about what I remembered from back in the day. Order was pretty quick. Food menu wise. it has been cut back, and made more simplified. Gone are some of the more speciality burgers I've enjoyed in the past, and even with the milkshake options have been narrowed down. I wasn't a fan of the milkshake i did receive. Service wise, we have now lost the dine in experience as was nice back in the day. It makes this place just more boring, and just the feeling of a fast food joint, which makes it loose some of it's luster from the past. Gone is the interaction with people, and now just a screen to order and wait for your number to be called. The employee that did call our number was kind. I unfortunately forgot to get her name to give her proper credit. Overall, the food was fine, but the experience is no longer there. My friends, and I will not be dining out to Steak 'n Shakes anymore due to loosing that people experience."
