Reviews of Champions
"Very nice lounge with great looking bar food. The drinks are good but overpriced. Great seating for chill time witj friends and good mood music! The bartender makes a great smokey old fashion."
"Small menu. Good food. Served in plastic with plastic utensils. I guess it’s easier for them. Seems to be a tad not environmentally friendly. Not horribly priced considering not much else around if your carless. Friendly staff. 2nd visit. Still a smaller menu. At first prices seemed high and probably are but portion sizes are not bad. I would definitely recommend this location. Not to many options in this area especially if you are carless."
"The food was good, but the service was unforgivable. I ordered room service the first night and received what looked like a lunch portion of food for nearly $60. I decided to dine in on my second night, and it was a mistake. From the moment I approached to the hostess desk, where a manager and two staff members stood huddled over the seating chart, it was as if I was an unwelcome interruption. At one point late in my meal, when my Stella Artois had reached room temperature and there wasn't a drop of sweat on the glass, I took a sip and placed the glass closer to me. The waitress spotted this seemingly from across the room and, in a huff, came over to move my glass back to the napkin, which I could only describe as the napkin version of 1 ply toilet paper. It had been soaked through from the moment she placed the drink on the table. I watched her do this again to a man at the table next to me, who was just as confused. If the management has encouraged and/or doesn't see a problem with this behavior, then I don't know what to say. It's extremely off-putting. I also watched the manager lead a guest to a table near me that was covered in spilled salt and food particles. The guest said, "Can you at least clean the table off?" and the manager proceeded to stand quietly, craning her neck around the room to look for someone else to clean it. She finally broke the deafening silence by saying, "Well, that guy made a huge mess." As if you wouldn't need to wipe down the table otherwise? If you find yourself stranded here, I recommend the she-crab soup. But I really just recommend you don't go."
"The restaurant is very nicely decorated. When we arrived we were immediately seated and our waitress was very attentive. I ordered the champion burger with fries, and my son got chicken tenders with a side of fries. The food came out very well presented. As far as flavor though that's where it ended. My son's tenders looked like frozen Tyson from the grocery store. My burgers patty was obviously frozen before cooking. Fries were good. This wasn't as good as we could have gotten at a chain restaurant at half the price. But in this area, your options are very limited."
"Pretty nice place. Not much else to eat around the hotel, so this is it. Food was decent. Waiter was friendly. A little overpriced for what the food is, but still a decent meal. They close in the middle of the afternoon, so be aware of that. The $15 pretzel was pretty good."
