Reviews of Delilahs Everyday Soul
"WOW! We came to politan row food hall on a Saturday afternoon to grab some good food and we were not disappointed! We decided to try Delilah’s and we shared the 3 fried wing plate with cornbread, Mac n cheese, 2 chicken tenders and candied yams. There ended up being a mix up and we ended up having fried pickles as well which were amazing(and I’m not even a fan of pickles) The food was hot, flavorful, and decently portioned! The chicken wings and tenders were soo good they didn’t need any sauce to complement! Mac n cheese was flavorful and just the right amount of cheese!"
"Checked this place out at the new food hall Politan Row near Perimeter Mall. Fried chicken and Mac & cheese are my favorite and man they did not disappoint! I was not expecting much since they opened yesterday but it was so good!! Probably some of the best fried chicken we have had! Make your way over there stat, 11am-11pm!"
"The food was great, and had something to accommodate my entire family of four, toddler included. We got to try a wide variety of things, as we ordered a Platter, 3 Whole Wings, Southern Belle, and Chicken & Waffles. Everything was flavorful and fresh. So glad I added a side of Fried Pickles. I've had those before, but never like this. They were bread and butter pickles, making the sweet/salty flavor profile taste like perfection. The host/order taker was polite, professional, and engaging. That gave the experience a warm vibe, instead of transactional. While we were seated, I got to interact with the family who owns it, also. They were genuinely appreciative of our business and interested in our experience. I read a while back that they are expanding their Atlanta footprint, and I see why. We'll definitely be back."
"I originally found out about this place from watching Netflix barbecue showdown season 2. I used to live in Atlanta and frequent there often. So I made it a personal mission to visit. Delilah's is located in a food hall and the whole area is a great place to be. Delilah's food is made fresh to order depending on the food ordered. You can watch your food being made through the Glass wall next to the kitchen. Even the premade items like the Mac and cheese (which was also rated best Mac and cheese by Oprah) and collard greens were phenomenal and served Hot. And there house made strawberry lemonade with bits of strawberries in it was sooo refreshing. Highly recommended."
"It should be easier to get all the round good soul food in the south. It’s not so easy in Atlanta as you think. The fried chicken was the best thing on the plate. The cornbread was the second best thing. It’s a great portion for the price, and it did taste somewhat country, very tall cornbread. The Greens and Yams tho! The greens appear to be real/fresh, and not from the can but they were harsh like they weren’t cooked with much of anything but water. They just weren’t as pleasantly edible. I do believe with a few key ingredients added to lighten this up, those greens would work. The yams taste like lime, like they tried to add an interesting twist to it, and to me it didn’t twist. I wanted to go four-star, but I couldn’t eat the sides and I ate maybe a quarter of the cornbread. See photos of before and after I ate chicken. Again the chicken was perfect. Disclaimer-my wife brought this as I may have chosen different sides but I really do love Greens so I know I would have chosen that one."
