"After hearing about this place for over a year I have been dying to try it. The food looks great, but lacks flavor.. It's a small town restaurant and I support small businesses. I'm just disappointed that for a place to have been serving southern foods for so long that my first time eating here that it would have tasted like a real home style southern meal, like with flavor? I don't understand why everything tasted so bland. I popped a piece of candy in my mouth to make sure I could taste it and the candy tasted exactly like it should. So I know it wasn't my taste bud. Their sweet tea was fantastic though. All in all, I will not be coming back but I appreciate all the kind servers and for everyone showing up to work and doing a great job."

"A hidden gem - it’s busy and a local favorite - but any wait is worth it. Even though space is a little tight, there’s such a quaint, homey vibe about the place that takes me back to a simpler, happier time - and everyone so friendly - and they are on the ball too! They are super efficient and the food is always so good! I appreciate so much still being able to find southern meat and 2 places where you feel welcome and like you’ve come home. I recommend the fried chicken!"
