"Passing thru northern Georgia a few years back saw the sign on I75 for Red Top Mountain SP. Decided to visit with our camper one day. So that day came we made reservations not knowing what to expect. Campground is private with electronic gate quite a peaceful. Lake is beautiful. Lots of tent spots and some even spots would be hard for anyone over 20’ to get in better call before you book. Campground is well maintained and bath houses are very nice and clean. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is the bath houses are hot in summer we were there late August temps were high 90’s they could at least install fans to move air that’s my only complaint. Saw turkey, deer, squirrels. Some sites have sewer connections most don’t. Overall a very nice place to camp."
"Beautiful lake side campsite. Little tight to get into but worked. Only 20amp service which I haven’t seen in decades, quite surprising considering it was fairly new. Lost power twice and had to get the remotely located breaker reset."
"The campsites are very close to each other, with nothing to keep them private. Ideally you could reserve two and have a comfortable group setup instead of being paired with random people. Each site had power and water, even the non RV sites. The bathrooms were nice and clean. They even had family bathrooms along with men and women. There was cell phone reception in the site. The water was great."
"We visited the end of October during the changing of the leaves. What an absolute beautiful location. Campground was only about half full. Lots of space between sites. Host were very friendly and helpful. The entire campground has been recently renovated. The bathrooms and showers are new and very clean. We were on site 40 which is a pull through site. The only issues we had; it was very apparent that the architect has never camped a day in their life. The sewage dump was 15 feet from the water and electrical hookup which required us to purchase an extra sewage hose extension. But the biggest issue was the entire site was built backwards from how it should have been built. Due to the utilities location it forced us to setup looking towards the woods vs looking towards the beautiful lake. I’m a little concerned about pulling out and how I’m going to get turned around. If it’s an issue I will update here."
