Sweet water park

"I took my family here on 7/8/23, kids ages 3 and 6. The admission booth for parking only takes cards btw and the cost is $5 all day which is very fair. The beach and playground area are nice. There are BBQ areas with tables as well, a lot of people were grilling. The beach is clean and has nice clean sand for the kids to dig and play in. The water is murky but thats just Lake Altoona. The important thing is the water is clean, no broken glass or anything that I saw. If you live in Cherokee County its a nice day at the beach without spending hours in the car, we all loved it. Bring an umbrella there's not many shady spots near the water."

"They opened on April 1st. and will stay open until sometime after labor day. Large beach. Bathrooms. Not the biggest parking area for a busy summer but should work for most of the summer. 5 dollars for the day or 40 for annual pass. Large trees between parking area and beach might provide a shady spot off the beach but still be close to lake. I haven't been in bathrooms to see if they are clean or have a shower/changing room. Not sure about water either. I might give it five stars after a visit. There is a campground adjacent to the day use beach."
