Reviews of Tara Drummond Trailhead
"I always stop here when I'm biking the silver comet trail as it's the last easy water for quite a few miles heading to the west. It's a lovely little spot. Clean, well maintained, not too crowded. Water fountains are easy to get to and the bathrooms are always in pretty decent shape. I almost always meet someone friendly for a quick chat while I'm passing through."
"Good area to rest and refill water bottles before continuing on the Silver Comet Trail. The water fountain is usually on during the warmer months. I don't ride in the winter, so I don't know if the restrooms are open and if the water fountain is on. This is also a good turnaround point if you're getting in a 40-ish mile bike ride if you started at mile marker 0."
"Smooth and shady. Not much elevation change. Beautiful wooded trail."
"Great spot to park and take off on a ride. Recommend heading west from there. There are some great rock formations and a cool bridge, some cool tunnels. Go about 10 miles and you'll find what I'm told is a great site. Haven't made it that far yet. We only went about 7 miles. Goals, I guess"
"Update: Aug 9, 2022 I was able to walk on the Trail today by myself. I Really enjoyed it. It was Nice and Serene. Loved all the Trees. I really liked this Walking / Bike trail. It can be very intimidating 1st bc there are alot of bikers. You have to really follow bike traffic rules on this trail. I was walking with my pup but there were so many bikers going so fast. At 1st I was Nervous. But we fit right in eventually. We will go back. Next time I will bring my bike instead of walking."
