"Pretty mediocre and boring trail. Same scenery all along. There’s a small pond at the end of the East Loop which is nice but other than that there’s nothing that’s worth mentioning. At the pond the signage is terrible—we almost got lost but used AllTrails to learn which way to go. Free parking. No toilet."
"EXCELLENT hike. There are 2 loops, east and west. The west loop picks up about 300ft of elevation pretty quickly toward the backend. Trail got a little misleading back there. The rock quarry is a total prize for the hike. I could sit out there for hours. Brought the 13 year old and 10 year old out with me. They made it the whole way. Definitely recommend"
"One of my favorite hikes! Saw a snapping turtle and an otter at the quary, very neat! Also saw a few hawks and some salamanders :)"
"A nice quiet walk through the woods off the beaten path... I would highly recommend this trail..great challenge for both novice and experienced hikers... A great place to spend the afternoon... There's also a nice little quarry pond full of fish and a ton of places to have a nice picnic...I would definitely revisit this location."
"Meh. This is a small trail with limited scenery. There is a lack of signs telling you which path you are on. The East loop does give you more of a pristine scene of the mountain on some parts. Although some of the West loop is more difficult, the scenery is boring. The poison ivy and poison oak were aplenty. I ended up getting lost ON THE TRAIL and circling the same loop twice. Really need more signage. I did enjoy the quarry. Go to Red Top Mountain three exits south on 75 for a better trail."
