Reviews of Silver Comet Trail -- Coot's Lake Beach Trailhead
"Very peaceful and tranquility! After walking this trail for 20 years the beauty still takes my breath away."
"Mostly quiet, there's not a lot of foot traffic. My dogs are rescues and are really skiddish, so it's nice to walk them and train in a secluded neutral area."
"Beautiful! If you’re in Paulding County, this is the absolute best trails there is for hiking or biking. From the parking lot, about 3 miles in, is a stunning trestle bridge. There is also a beautiful lake at the entrance, but for some reason it was closed off. Maybe it opens during the summer?? The trail is absolutely beautiful! It is paved, wide, and surrounded by rocky cliffs."
"This is a wide concrete trail in perfect condition. The side of the trail is mowed on both sides. The concrete is uncracked and smooth with good texture to keep from slipping. We rode through the long tunnel and the floor had some shallow standing water, but it was very well lit and safe. The trail itself was safe. The sheriff came by in a tiny car first one way and then the other! Trail was shady and very clean."
"Loved the ride! Starting at Coot's Lake Parking heading east is flat, with a very suttle incline but hardly noticeable. Mostly wooded/shade. Plenty of benches to rest, good condition. Passed under 3 tunnels up to the Tara Williams parking (restrooms). Turned around and pedaled the 13 miles back to car."
