"Service in this branch is adequate and the drive through ATMs are convenient. Be aware that if you intend to seek a service that requires sitting down with a credit union rep, then you need to arrive a good time before the business closes for the day. Moving on to ACU in general, it is overly proactive with card transactions, flat out denying some transactions seemingly on the mere basis that the merchant is foreign. This has made it very difficult for us to assist family abroad in need of basic sustenance. Hold times for phone calls are unacceptably long, beginning at 15 minutes and going on as long as over 45 minutes. All the while, a recorded message apologizes for the high call volume. Every time, every day. That's a nice sentiment, but when your call volume is "high" every day, then it not high call volume. It's normal call volume, and ACU needs to stop apologizing and change its operations to deal with the normal and expected call volume efficiently. We're probably going to move on to another credit union, or a bank that has the resources to adequately staff its call centers and assist its customer base."

"I have been banking with the Associated Credit Union for over 10 years. I have been to the banking centers located in Decatur, Norcross (Beaver Ruins), and Grayson. I am always greeted by friendly employees who know me by name. These folks are very friendly and courteous. I work in Decatur so 90% of the time I use this location. "I've been banking here for about 3 years. I've had no issues. They are very proactive about security issues with your cards. Inconvenience once when out of town and they cancelled my card because it had a fraudulent charge on it. Wasn't a huge deal but annoying at the time. They've always been fair with working with me on fees involving accidental overdrafting. Reading some complaints on here that seem quite ridiculous. "They won't give me no loans!!" Well maybe you made some bad life decisions that led to them not wanting to just give money to an unrelaible person! "They arent very nice!!" When I go to the bank, I'm not going in expecting some huge over joyous reception on my behalf. I bring money in, you take it and hold it in an acct for me. Transaction complete."

"If I could give a zero I would. The staff isn't friendly. They don't greet you when you come in. Just a simply good morning would of been nice. They don't want to give you any loans or want to help you at all. I ended up going to another credit union and got everything I was trying to get from associated. Today was the last day that I was going to deal with rude, unfriendly, not helpful credit union. So I had to change that and closed my account with them. They have changed staff alot. Do not I repeat do not bank here. There are so many other credit unions that will do much more to help you and definitely much more friendly."
