"Had awful service. asked for multiple items 3 and 4 times and finally a manager came over to bring a hot beer and we asked her for what all we needed. Took 30 minutes for our drinks to come to us and bartender was to busy talking to teenage boys than taking care of people at bar and high tops. Seen a few people leave bar because she wasnt makinv drinks cleaning or bringing food out. food was awful. Ate a few bites and payed and left. 50 dollars for not even 1 star. Marked that on our list to not to eat again. Definitely will be driving to Athens from now on."
"This location just reopened after a remodel. Food and staff are excellent. I had stopped going because food and service had gone downhill. BUT it is now on my list to eat lunch. Thanks, Applebee's, for getting it right this time"
"Super disappointed. I had such high hopes that things would be better when they reopened but aside from the new floors and fresh paint, today's visit was far worse than any visit prior to their shut down. Took over 20 minutes to get 2 soups and 1 appetizer. Another 10 minutes or so to get 1 salad, which the waitress then offered to remove from the ticket for that person. We watched our waitress stand around and talk for a bit, not attempting to fix the salad or even go check on it. Our food arrived shortly after that. 1 waitress rested a plate on the shoulder of one of my colleagues. Salmon was completely tasteless and when we asked for seasoning, they acted like they didn't know what seasoning was and offered cocktail sauce. Chicken on alfredo was burnt. Sides tasted good but nothing was hot. Finally the checks come and the salad that was "removed" had been moved to another persons check at our table. She requested that it be taken off hers as it wasn't her salad to begin with. We all give our cards with our receipts to pay, the waitress runs everything and when she brings back our receipts, the person who ordered the salad noticed her bill that she gave her card to pay was originally $13 and some change, had been changed to $17 and some change. She questioned this and the waitress said "Oh, the salad got put back on there. Would you like it removed?" to which she replied "Yes, since you stated it would be." The waitress returned 5-10 minutes later with the receipt and $4 in cash stating since the card had been ran, she couldn't fix it and gave her cash to try and fix the mistake. At no point during this visit did a manager ever come and check in with us, even though they were talking to our waitress about the salad issue. Just super disappointed with everything about this visit."
"Since reopening I have tried 3x now. 1st time we never met or waiter Denny. The bartender left his post & came to the booth to help us. The second time the waitress spent more time talking than doing her job. After an hour & 10 minutes only one 1 of 3 meals was correct. 2 out of the 3 were completely wrong. Got a partial refund. The last was a delivery. I received 2 cups of broth when ordering French onion soup. I managed a $2 refund from delivery company but Applebee's has gone down hill 100% in my opinion. Used to love it. Whoever is manager needs to have a word & training with staff."
"Before the restaurant closed down I had not visited for about 4 years. At that time I ordered a prime rib dinner that was basically nothing more than a large clump of fat that I wouldn't consider even feeding my dog. I complained to the server which brought the manager over and I asked them simply if they would eat this if it was served to them and they said no. December 2023 the restaurant looks the same as it did before. The hosts that seat you are polite, the waitress we had was very inexperienced and we had to ask another server to get our drinks after asking ours about 3 separate times. I got the tequila lime chicken which was good except for the rice that was cold and very dry like it was someone's left overs a week ago. It took roughly 40 minutes to get our food, this was on a Sunday around 130ish. The atmosphere was full of every table around us complaining. I will likely not return after this but I would encourage some serious evaluation if you want this business to remain operational for much longer"
