"I had a previous review which was favorable. Honestly, prior to 2/18/2024, Los Arcos was our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Today, we visited, ordered our regular items, and waited (there were 3 in our party). We were served at three different times. Our portion sizes were tremendously smaller, with more veggies than meat, and no break on the price. The food was greasy and left us all feeling uneasy this afternoon. Part of our order was never brought to the table, and we had to chase our server down for refills. When we brought it to the attention of the staff, we were told that the restaurant was under new management and he was cutting portion sizes in the kitchen. When I addressed it to him, he didn't care that we were not satisfied. Won't be back. Oxford is full of Mexican restaurants. Find another."
"Food here was great, cheese sauce was delicious and a great topper to my burrito. The wait staff was also very attentive and kept my water glass filled up. My important thing though is two stalls in the Men's restroom. This should be standard in all restaurants but even more crucial in a Mexican restaurant."
"We stopped here for dinner during a recent business trip. The beer was cold, the food looked better as it tasted. The "Pollo Fundido" came out sizzling hot and looked great. However the bacon was too crispy for me and looked almost burned. I would give it a 4 - . Service was ok but also nothing to brag about. Compared to the many other Mexican places I have been, this place is average at best."
"We drove through town and found this little restaurant that had a great menu. I ordered a classic Chili Relleno plate. I literally cannot make this up…. That’s a bell pepper! Who do they have cooking in this place?! They definitely are not Mexican! Absolutely, no seasoning to the food. If you close your eyes, you could not tell this is Mexican food. This restaurant is a joke. However, they have mariachis on Saturday night and everyone is extremely friendly and the place is clean. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, go somewhere else."
