"Was around town and decided to grab a bite to eat. Got a brisket sandwich w/ fries and a sweet tea. The brisket sandwich was stellar. The fries were amazing , fresh and seasoned well. The sweet tea was refreshing, the right amount of sweet. And the service was great. If I was ever in town I would definitely swing by again."

"First time I've tried them. The BBQ ribs had a very good taste but were so over cooked and tough we could hardly eat them. My rib plate had a lot of small pieces of gristle in them also. Everything else was fine."

"If you come here, be prepared to be treated like family. The owners are some of the friendliest and welcoming people you will ever meet. I love the warm atmosphere they have created. It feels like going back home for Sunday dinner any night of the week. Now, let's talk about the food. I have only ever had their pulled pork and various sides, but this is the BEST pulled pork from Blue Ridge to Knoxville (and we have tried most). We don't think twice about driving the 40 minutes or so from Cleveland when we have a craving for some good BBQ. Definitely try this place out and grab some of their gourmet boiled peanuts as a snack for later before you leave! They have ALL the flavors."

"I’ve been to a lot of BBQ joints and make my own BBQ as well, so I’m very picky. I live in the area and hadn’t heard of Gettin Piggy Wit It until this last week or so. I was in town today and decided to try them out. I was greeted with a smile and everyone seemed friendly. I ordered the Brisket sandwich (that’s mainly what I order at any BBQ joint) and I decided to be lame and went with fries and a drink. The fries were delicious, as well as the sweet tea (though I ordered a Dr. Pepper, but I noticed while she was pouring it and didn’t say anything about it to her, so I’m not mad about it. Plus, it was really good sweet tea.) The brisket, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. It was dry and tough, and seemingly mainly from the flat. The flavor and sauce were fine, it was just over cooked. There were some bites that made me think it may have been sliced with the grain, which could be the main factor of the toughness. I also asked for a side of their Hot BBQ Sauce, and the owner def gets a kudos on that sauce. Delicious. My wait time was very reasonable and about what I expect for fresh BBQ…and though I didn’t thoroughly enjoy my sandwich, it WAS very fresh. Price. If my sandwich was a little better, their prices would be EXTREMELY reasonable. Those that are complaining about the price know nothing about BBQ, nor small businesses. For example, $11/lb for pulled pork should really be $13-$15/lb depending on quality, and $20/lb for brisket is on par with locals, and actually cheap as hell right now with the price beef. If you don’t want to pay $9 for a brisket sandwich, go buy a $70 quality USDA Prime full packer, smoke it for 20+ hours, slice it perfectly, and make yourself a sandwich. Now, I left 4 stars for several reasons. First of which, I’m not here to ruin someone’s business on Google, especially over one visit. I’m simply here to give my opinion to other food enthusiasts, and for the owner to possibly learn what his/her customers think of their food, and possibly make changes if necessary. Secondly, it wasn’t absolutely terrible, there was just part of my meal that wasn’t up to my high standards. It wasn’t close to being the worst brisket I’ve ever had. This is a small, local, Veteran owned business and, based on their responses on here, really care about their customers and are more than willing to make things right. For those reasons, I will return with my wife at some point and try their pork. Instead of trying to bring down a small, local business over petty circumstances, just share your experience and give them an opportunity to improve. Support local, especially veteran owned businesses. TY4YS."
