"The food had gone downhill for a while but tonight everything was so good. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. The pinto beans were seasoned just right. Fried okra wasn't burned or undercooked and the greens were good."

"Again, going local. I'm honestly not sure how long this place has been around, as I rarely get this far past The Battlefield. But I suspect it's been a minute. The place screams old fashioned dinner. It's dated. And quite charming. The staff are lovely and helpful. Chicken and dressing was on the menu the day I was there. There was cranberry sauce and gravy and a sweet potato casserole to rival my ex-motber-in-law's. The tea was plentiful and sweet. I got a look at the breakfast menu and it looked good, too. This is southern comfort cooking served with a refreshing side of southern charm."
