"Overall we had to give this a 3-star rating due to an almost 2 hours wait to get a table and food. When we finally got a table [ 1 hour and 30 mins into waiting, this was our first time visiting. We were addressed by the owner 1 time and offered a drink. There were very little places to sit that were out of the way so we kept getting pushed aside and away from the door.] We put in our orders as soon as we could. It took about a few more mins [30 more mins] to get the food. The fish was amazing, the hushpuppies were too dense and lacked flavor, but we overlooked it. The fried pickles were good, the fried mushrooms were all suck together in clumps of batter and hard to eat. The popcorn shrimp was good but by the time our daughter got her food she was not hungry. The burgers were okay, but the server did not ask how either of the party who ordered them wanted them cooked. They were a bit overdone. We finished eating, paid our bill and left. We hope to give it another go, next time by making a reservation ahead of time, to help with the wait and table availability. We want to say the server was very sweet but for as long as we waited, you think that something more than a drink before we got to the table would have been provided or a discount. We hope on our next visit we can raise the review rating."
