Top of the Rock Restaurant and Brewery

"I was invited to share a birthday celebration meal at Top of the Rock. Upon arrival, the two women at the front looked then looked away upon my entering the restaurant. I seated myself with the party with whom I was dining. Our server, McKayla was nice and did a good job serving our large party of 20+. Appetizers arrived(via someone other than our server) and were tossed on the table with no question of who ordered which dish. We were left to figure out which dish belonged to who. The spinach-artichoke dip in a bread bowl tasted great. I ordered the 12" wood-fire oven pepperoni pizza. The pizza neither resembled nor tasted as if it was made from homemade dough or cooked in a wood-fire oven. It looked and tasted frozen and on a premade crust. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of quality. Less than half of the pizza was consumed. Honestly, I've been served moderately higher quality pizza from Domino's. Though the experience was considerably underwhelming, I tipped the server 25% for her cheerful service. I cannot recommend this restaurant as neither my family members nor myself will return."

"We had a wonderful afternoon here. Drinks and food were delicious. Our server was appropriately attentive and took great care of us. The views and atmosphere are outstanding. We walked across the bridge and took in the views. I will most definitely return. Parking was sufficient and restrooms clean. Our visit was a pleasurable experience for sure."

"I’ll start with the good, the views really are immaculate. We saw the sunset and stood out by Pat’s Summit before going into the restaurant. They also have some igloos you can rent out to dine in which is cool. Now with the mid, the staff for the most part was friendly enough. Our waitress was super nice though and really did the best she could for us to have a good experience. The cheesecakes were pretty decent. Lastly, the bad. The rest of the food was pretty terrible honestly. The bread bowl the spinach dip came in was not cooked all the way. My smash burger was not smashed and had no flavour at all. The fish that came with the fish and chips was dry and chewy. The pizza wasn’t cooked on the bottom. I think it was a premade crust just broiled from the top because we asked for them to cook it some more and it came back out just VERY cooked on the top (borderline burnt) and still extremely beige on the bottom lol. So all of that to say, I don’t think this place is getting great reviews for the food. If you want a nice view and some beers, it’s not a bad choice but if you want a beautiful meal, this isn’t the place."

"The lemon-drop martini was sweet not tart and the Bloody Mary was spicy. The pimento fritters are excellent. So much so they sell out, so order ahead. The bisque was not puréed before serving, so it was really a minced vegetable stew. Everything after that was overcooked. The burger required re-firing - ordered med-rare, but received well done. The re-fire returned medium, but the burger was juicy. The cauliflower crust was tasty, if not burnt. Menu said pesto, received none, twice! The view is nice enough, unfortunately the fog obscured most of it."
