Menlo Restaurant

"This was just a stop at a Mom and Pop restaurant with meat and veggies. I had home made chicken fingers with white gravey, baked sweet potato, Slaw with unsweetened tea. Everything hit the spot and service was good. The only thing was we had to ask for directions twice to find it. We would have ride right by otherwise. It is sort of tucked away."

"My father-in-law and I stopped in for lunch. I had the Philly with fries and sweet tea. It was made fresh. He had the cheese burger with onion rings. It too looked and tasted good he said. We missed Avandre Holyfield by one day! This place is a recommended place for good eats."

"Service was great and it's really cheap, however everything else was a miss. Food was ok, not the worst I've had, but you get what u pay for. My biggest issue was the wait on my food. There were 2 of us. We ordered a fried chicken dinner with a salad and chicken nuggets. Took 50 mins to come out. Only 2 tables got their food after we had ordered and before we got our food. I'm pretty sure the reason was to go orders. 99% of restaurants put priority over in-house customers over to go orders, but this place doesn't. Also didnt take cards, but i didn't see a sign anywhere letting patrons know about the policy. They have an atm but I feel like that can hurt servers' tips there because now you have to spend $3 extra dollars to use the atm if you don't have cash and some people will just take that $3 out of the tip. Another thing that wasn't pleasant was the lighting. Super bright white fluorescent lighting so the place is lit up like an office building. Not the best but not the worst."

"Menlo’s Restaurant had some of the best breakfast plates I’ve had in a long time. Great local feel. Service was fast and very kind. Food was delicious! If your looking for a traditional southern breakfast, you have found the place."

"Where the locals eat. No fancy decor but the food and service were excellent. Sweet tea and country fried steak was amazing and fried chicken sandwich was very good. Ended up talking to the owner for most of our meal and nearly everyone that walked in the door he greeted on a first name basis."
