"I took a loan from Pickett & Hatcher which was the only way o could have afforded college. That was 1895-1989 and it made my life. My son wants to go to college in the USA and he will be applying for a P&H student loan. This student loan fund has delivered the mission of the founders."

"Absolutely the worst student loan entity in the world. Their online banking payment option site is atrocious and not user friendly. If you post your payment before the first, and you happen to make one error on the website, it won’t reject the payment until far after the due date and then you’ll have late fee on late fee on late fee. FASFA loans are so much more user friendly and accommodating. I truly regret ever signing a school loan with Pickett and Hatcher and cannot wait until I’m done paying them off in one million years. DO NOT LOAN WITH THEM. GARBAGE."

"I don’t normally post comments that are negative but here we go. I have been disrespected as a customer when I calmly asked a representative to verify information concerning a payment. When I spoke up and said I was just asking politely, they didn’t have to be disrespectful towards me asking a question, they told me that “they’re not being disrespectful they’re just trying to help.” Which is a lie. I do not recommend this loan company. And this is not the first time I’ve had issues with them."

"This student loan company is terrible. My primary issue has been the functionality and reliability of their website. There have been consistent issues with their online program, including inaccurate information displayed, information from the office not matching the information posted online, and issues making payments. The other issue I have faced is a lack of professionalism from their student loan manager, Julie Roop. Julie is truly awful at her job. She speaks to everyone in a condescending manner, is extremely rude, and is lacking professional communication skills. Julie seems to lack training for her position, as she often shared incorrect information and made payments and updating account information very difficult. I do not recommend using Pickett and Hatcher for any of your needs, and strongly recommend that PHEF hire someone different to handle their student loans."

"By far the best student loan servicer I've dealt with (compared against MEFA, MOHELA, and AES). They're a small staff, but in my experience with them it's meant that you never have to deal with some customer service rep whose soul is crushed - I talked to the same two people there throughout all my years holding an account with them, and they were always responsive and helpful with questions. So if you can handle making payments while you're still in school, they offer good customer service and better interest rates than any other private provider I could personally find - my only regret is that I only found them in my senior year."
