"Absolutely one of the coziest places I've had the pleasure to stay in! Beautiful historic decor, lovely river views, and very comfy beds. The bow on top would be the ever gracious host, Bruce. Incredibly kind hearted and welcoming, an excellent cook, and witty raconteur- please try the homemade blueberry scones, you won't regret it! Will come back should I ever find myself in that area again. PS very sweet and adorable cats on the premises as well."
"OK, If not for a little bit of dust, this place would be amazing!! Had our family not been in a sticky situation, we would have loved staying here! What a beautiful fun little place to spend a night or 2. The owner was by far the most incredible man I've ever worked with, I couldn't have been more appreciative of A bed and breakfast owner than him. When we have time we will definitely be going down to spend some much needed rest here."
"This place is an absolute gem. My friends and I ended up staying here because we were in search of the elusive mothman, however we found a lot more than that! We were first greeted by the sweetest little cat you’ll ever meet, who we affectionately called “Boots”. Bruce then came out to greet us, gave us a tour and showed us to our room, and we immediately felt right at home. The rooms were beautiful and historic, with lots of charm to them. Bruce is so nice to chat with and gave us a lot of information about the house and good spots to check out in town. The house is settled on a hill up a quiet street, we felt very safe when coming back to the house after a night out. When it came time for breakfast, we had some incredible (homemade!) blueberry scones, along with eggs, potatoes, and sausage. Bruce even built us a bonfire after a long day of touring around, which was perfect to relax in front of. There’s even a cave on the property that my friends and I ventured up to, it was a bit of a climb but well worth it, Boots even accompanied us up there! Our experience at the Holly Hill Inn couldn’t have been better and I’m so glad we were able to meet Bruce, you can tell he loves what he does and he loves the people that come through, we’ll be sure to come back!"
"The Holly Hill Inn was absolutely AMAZING! Bruce and Jane could not have been any more hospitable! Bruce was very accommodating even though we came in late (around 9:30 pm.) He served us delicious homemade meatballs and garlic bread right after we took the tour and moved our luggage into our room. We had so many delightful conversations with Bruce and later, Jane. We felt so comfortable, welcome and right at home. The bed was so comfortable that we slept right through the alarm the first morning. The Inn was decorated so beautifully for Halloween. There was even a Harvest Tree in the great room. Breakfast was filling enough to carry us through the entire day. We had the the best blueberry scones. They are as big as your head and they always preceded a huge breakfast! Day one was a huge plate of eggs, toast, bacon, yogurt and fruit. Day two included eggs, pumpkin French toast, ham steaks and yogurt with fruit. On day three, we had the famous Holly Hill Hash with pumpkin waffles. We will absolutely stay here again when we are back in the area!"
"Old bed and breakfast from 1836! On top of a hill, looks out over the town and river. The owner, Bruce, was awesome! So accommodating, friendly and loved talking to him. He is an amazing cook - breakfast was home fries, French toast, bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. In addition to the best homemade blueberry scones!! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Would absolutely stay again"
