"What a hidden gem. On the road less traveled, but this place sits on a great piece of tucked away property. We went for dinner at the Rustic Tavern: food was very good and staff was wonderful. The restaurant is in an old log cabin making for a great atmosphere. Afterwards, we walked around the property and we were greeted by some geese and a wonderfully friendly dog."
"Lovely bed and breakfast complete with its own chef! We walked the Buckhannon River trail and hiked at Audra State Park. Don't miss this gem for a quiet retreat and wonderful food."
"Deer Park is in a quiet little spot not far from town. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hospitality is second to none. A hot fresh made to order breakfast is also included in the room price. This is the best place to stay in the Buckhannon!"
"This is a place that you immediately feel at home in. Just as the place it's self is warm and inviting so are the owners. You will not find an experience like this anywhere else. This place is in a class of its own. Everything is well thought out and the decorations are second to none. You will not find grand halls or massive televisions. Instead you will find sprawling fields, cozy rooms, and amazing views. The food is simply undescribable. Out of all of Upshur county and probably the state the food is top notch and our waitress was the best we've ever had. We have not had food like this at any location we have been too. This is a place you must check out."
"Absolutely beautiful place. Possibly the quietest area you will find to rest and relax. The rooms are beautifully decorated and provide a comfortable, homey feel. The owners, Russ and Coralee, are some of the most friendly and hospitable people you will ever meet. Breakfast was magnificent and if you leave there hungry, it’s your own fault. We can’t wait to return."
