"The food was NOT good. The fried cornbread, I took one little tiny pinch of it and immediately spit it out. It tasted like it had been in someone's fridge for over a week! The cabbages were so soft, watery, and overcooked to the point that I spit out the first bite. I don't know if they were in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for a month and then thawed out for today! The barbecue chicken wasn't fresh( taste like it had been the fridge for 5 or more days, too), and I have had much better! The sweet potato casserole was interesting( looked weird, never had it made like that), but I was able to eat it, and it tasted good. I hate wasting money! For this restaurant to have a 4.5 star rating, I hope this was just an off day for them today and not typical."

"Great place of getting good soul food, and they give you a lot you will pay!! But it's worth it, take out only may have a line but don't leave. You won't regret it."

"This is a place to stop. Truckers, good food. When I went in yesterday, they had baked chicken, pork chops, ribs, mac & cheese, rice, and green beans. I got the bake chicken with mac & cheese and green beans. I love the chicken. Mac & cheese taste better when it’s hot and also I tasted they use mushroom soup in it. Lot of food for me. I saved it and put it in the fridge. You got to call to find out what they are serving for today. When I’m back in town, I will be back."

"Man, the food here is very good. Honey and I went on a Sunday while visiting our daughter's college campus. We happened to stumble across this popular local soul food spot. Let's get into the P & C’s: Pros: - Food is absolutely delicious. - Great customer service. - Variety of food selections. - Generous portions. - Home-cooked Sunday dinner style. -The dressing is outstanding. - Everything is well-seasoned. Cons: - It can be a long wait due to the restaurant being small. Therefore you will be standing outside in a line. - The food is pricey but worth it! - The dressing was cold on the day we went. - The dressing is only served on certain days."

"First time trying this place. The building and area are not appealing but I’m glad that didn’t stop me! Please don’t let it stop you! My food was so good! Didn’t need to add any seasonings! Banana pudding (not pictured) was A HIT for someone who doesn’t like bananas but likes the flavor! It has no bananas in it! Soooo good! Customer service was good! I will be back soon."
