"Terrible customer service! After being placed on hold for about 10 minutes a lady took my call. After explaining I needed to find out if a deposit I make a week ago was posted in my account. I answered all her questions, gave her my account number, wifes name, my address, my SS#, amount of deposit, date I made it, and she would not confirm the deposit. She told me I had to make a appointment to come in and prove my identity which floored me. I'm recently moved to the Ellijay area and thought this was a hometown community bank where I would have some sort of personal relationship. If it was not for the commercial relationship I have with Salida Hill who is located in the Savannah Ga area, I would close this account. Congratulations Ellijay United Community Bank you have achieved the status of the Big Banks. I hope I never have to visit or call this location again."

"Applied for a construction loan at this place with Ms. Kelly. I own several properties in other states. My situation was too complex for her to comprehend and process. I was told they were not able to approve it due to my debt carried, yet this is real estate debt that is generating rental income! On top of that, my credit is A++ & I have a well paying job. Even with that she was not able to do the calculations to approve my loan. I was in shock. I went to Pickens Community Bank and they were easily able pre-approve my construction loan within a couple of days for an amount over the estimated cost of my project. I've never had any issues applying for a loan, which leads me to believe that my situation was too complex for the loan officer at UCB to understand. They lost my business because they were incompetent in the loan approval process."
