"I purchase a mail slot and after installing I noticed that the flap doesn’t fully close leave air gaps. Being in MN I had to stuff the slot cavity with insulation this winter because of how much cold air the flap’s gaps allowed to pass through. Now with warmer weather coming the gaps will allow ants and other insects to get inside the house. I’m not sure if the slot I received is defective or just poorly designed. I have reached out to Brass Accents to resolve this issue but haven’t heard back. I will update this review once they contact me with a solution. As of now I wouldn’t recommend purchasing their mail slots."
