"I wanted to like this hotel but so many things happened that made it a horrible experience. The room was nice and spacious with a great climate control. They also have a managers reception with free drinks and light snacks. The restaurant food was decent and reasonable priced. However, that is about the end of the good experience. The door lock didn’t open 50% of the time and when it did, you had to open it by lifting up rather than down. The pool had a horrible smell like mildew and the hot tub was green tinged. The tub in the bathroom was cracked in multiple places. The waterfall backer to the elevator had multiple areas with growth (?) of something in it. However the kicker was the customer service. I prepaid when I booked and used Hilton’s Mobile Key feature. Hilton took the original payment when I made my reservation. Then at check in, they placed a 2nd hold on my account for the original amount, the incidentals, and then 0.02 in miscellaneous expenses. I went to the front desk to speak to someone who told me that because I used mobile key, my folio wasn’t set up correctly and she would speak to accounting. I asked why my folio wasn’t set up correctly despite me stopping at the front desk upon arrival. She didn’t have an answer. I returned to my room and called the 800 number for Hilton and spoke with Alex. He told me he was unable to assist me as the reservation was marked as in house but he called the front desk and spoke with Claire and indicated the hold would be released when I checked out. I returned to the front desk to meet another front desk person as well as Patricia, the Director of Finance who indicated it was a hold and would be released 3-5 business days from check out. I can’t tell you the name of any of the front desk staff as no one had name tags. Finally, I got yelled at by a staff member for going out the back door. He later came over to apologize as the door used to be an emergency exit only but he didn’t know it changed. When I shared the experience he asked if I had spoken to the GM and I said no one has offered that. He went to see if he was available but he was on a conference call so we were unable to speak to him."
"We have stayed at the hotel before primarily due to its proximity to the Battery. We stayed this weekend with friends again to spend time at the Battery. The service and friendliness from hotel staff is stellar! However, the hotel itself is showing its age and is needs updating. Though our room was clean, there was visible signs of wear and tear throughout. Chipped paint in the tub, rust in the toilet, carpet coming apart from edging, stains on the sofa, stained carpet. Dining- there is a large restaurant for dining that includes a bar. We enjoyed breakfast which was typical hotel breakfast food. While dining, I noticed that there were huge lights over some of the dining tables which were very dusty and could not be pushed away due to being heavy. On the floor were several cords that could pose a safety hazard (see photos). I noticed these issues during our last stay and the issues seemed to have gotten worse. Location is great but improvements are definitely needed."
"We had a great experience at this hotel! There is an indoor pool with a hot tub that is great for families. I loved the hotel bar, and like that they give you complimentary drinks during happy hour. It is a great way to meet new people and get out of your room. And the bartender makes delicious strong drinks. Ask for the Dee Special! The staff is super nice and helpful! They have a shuttle that will drive you anywhere in a 3 mile radius. I also like that they have a hot complimentary breakfast with an omelet station. cons: there is an echo because of the hotel's layout The walls are thin, heard the couple next to me arguing in the middle of the night parking is $20 a day which is ridiculous Overall, I will stay here again and recommend it"
"Amenities provided were great and the location was very convenient. Staff were all kind and helpful. However the room was quite humid in the living room area no matter how long the AC ran, the pullout mattress felt very old and worn down, and the room had a distinct weed odor. I’m sure other rooms here were fine."
"We stayed at this hotel to attend the Dave Koz concert, which was at the Cobb Energy Center (across the street within walking distance from the hotel). The hotel is beautiful. We were given an upgrade to a suite on the top floor. Our suite was amazing with a living area, sleek modern bathroom/shower with glass doors, and a bedroom. It was very clean. The king bed was comfortable with quality sheets. Before the concert, we ate dinner in the hotel's on-site restaurant. The food was delicious! We were each given 2 free drinks at the bar, so after a day of traveling, it was nice to relax with dinner and drinks before the concert. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. Service is top notch at this hotel. The ladies at check-in were professional, helpful, and kind. We would absolutely stay here again."
