Reviews
"The actual treatment itself is great. Everything else past that, the customer service, the office, billing, is an absolute nightmare. I don’t know how these people can run a business like this."
"I have a large family and extended family that have experience with all of the current counselors. We use this center for individual and family counseling. Each therapist is different. Don't be afraid to say you'd like to talk to a different one if the one you are seeing doesn't mesh with you. I have high reviews for the owner, Jennifer. Her knowledge is deep and her concern is genuine. I appreciate her talent at being able to pull out suppressed feelings, trauma and pain - and then offer tools to address them. She has a unique style that took me a minute to analyze -it's different than any counselor I’ve ever been to. She's made connections with many family members who have been closed off for decades. My daughter informed me prior to our first family session that she would go but not talk. Jennifer honed in on that immediately and got my daughter to open up despite my daughter's refusal to speak. After several sessions of my daughter digging in her heals, she is now opening up to Jennifer and our home is a much more peaceful place. If you are looking for a therapist to vent to - this is not your place. If you are looking for solutions on how you can change you and by default your situation, I highly recommend this counseling center. As far as the complaints about the business structure, just make sure your insurance pays out. It's not easy running a small business in today's economy and staffing is a nightmare."
"They had a wonderful doc, he turned in a notice to work 4 more months. Jennifer made him leave that day. She does not care about all the patients, all the patients came and there was no doctor. She also didn't pay another person that was working there. His paycheck bounced!!!!"
"I've been twice. The intake assessment has taken 2.5 hrs and I'm not even done. The receptionist, when she's there, is great. But, she's not full time. My therapist was Marla. She is just ok. She is very knowledgeable and direct. However, she's also bland and a little down trodden. She fails to offer encouragement or enlightenment. I would have considered seeing someone else there but Jennifer, another therapist, was highly rude as she filled in for the missing receptionist. I won't be returning. Update: they have a fill in receptionist, April. After double billing me, I called to get the receipt printed off for pick up so I could submit to my insurance. She was very nasty. And she had to ask for help in seeing if she could print a receipt. It's been an hr and she has not returned my call. Changing my review to 1 star."
"I started seeing Marls Hull about a month ago. I found her to be a good listener and thoughtful and thought provoking as she helped me through a very difficult time. Being able to talk through my issues was a tremendous help. I feel like she gave good advice and educated information. I would recommend her to my friends, so if you need a therapist dont hesitate to call her."
