Mirage Pools

"Norm Urrutia was contracted by me and my wife back in 1997. It took them over 11 months to build our pool. The reason why he has such poor ratings is because he is severely under-capitalized. In other words he doesn't have the money to sustain the build of swimming pools from new customers. He operates much like a ponzi scheme. He'll take the money from a buyer and will apply the money towards a new customer, but will put off the construction of pools from previous buyers in order to sustain the construction of new pools. His hope is that the previous buyers will wait long enough so that he can continue operations. He has done this in other states. He is a thief - plain and simple. I don't understand why Georgia has such terrible construction laws that allows this criminal to get away with this kind of practice. He did complete the construction of our pool, but we had to demolish it 4-years later because it was so poorly constructed. He needs to be put in prison for being a con artist"

"This company doesn't even deserve a single star. We started our project in June 2016 and in April 2017 we still did not have a completed pool, instead we received a phone call from the owner Norm Urrutia stating he no longer had the funds we had already paid him to finish our pool. Do not be fooled, this has happened before to others clients in different states. The company states they have closed the doors but DO NOT BE FOOLED, the owner is still in business just under a different name "Signature Pools Atlanta". The agent on record is Derek Murray who was a salesman at Mirage just a month ago. Coincidence? I think not!!!"

"Our dig date was 12/9/16. All phases were going very quickly until the third installment check was paid getting us 95% paid. We've paid 63,000 of our $67,000 pool project as of 12/30/2016. Mirage Pools has 4 phases to pay per their contract. Buyer beware - do not pay according to their contract terms. They had no issues while working in December. Is it a coincidence the lies began as soon as they received the 3rd check? They worked a total of 3 days in 2017. It is now 5/8/17 and we have no decking, no pool equipment, no pebble tec, just a huge muddy mess and a concrete hole. We will be out a minimum of 25k to complete this mess along with all the fees and the cost to sue all parties that were listed on this so called business. If you're looking to buy a pool invest in a lawyer prior to signing any document and do extensive research into the people you are doing business with."

"We had a great pool design however when we went back to have modification made to the design we discovered that the design guy had quit.... After the pool was started we began to put the pieces together... No one want to work for free. Seems the owner is NOT paying his staff in a timely manner. And the staff that came to house were not afraid to talk about it. It also seems the Project Manager & Site manager who I only sway on site twice do not like to communicate with the buyers... At present we have stopped all work and will find someone else to either finish the job or fill the whole in our back yard back in."

"Mirage is a fantastic Company. They were upfront and honest and told us that our pool would take approximately 3 months because it was their busy season and all the detailed stone work that was done. They did a great job and we love our pool. I realize no Company is perfect but they are very close. One of there greatest strengths is the follow up after the pool has been completed. Very hard workers, friendly and on time. They have no sub contractors and everyone works for them directly which is a plus. I would Highly recommend them (Chris, Mandy, Charlie, everyone) Tim S."
