"I tried to go to this walk in orthopedic clinic but they would not see me. First, it was because I had been in a car accident and didn’t have a claim number to bill. They couldn’t do private pay or use my health insurance because it was too difficult to change from one payment to another at a later time. I went to the car to call my insurance so I would have a claim number. I came back into the clinic with a claim number and was told that they couldn’t normally take a claim number, without paper proof. She went and spoke with a manager and came back to tell me they would have to bill me because they have never used State Farm insurance and didn’t have the address to bill them. I would like to give them zero stars because they made a very difficult time even harder for me. I decided to go to another walk in clinic and was taken right in to see a surgeon. I was told at the second clinic that fixing my shattered wrist was important and that my health and car insurances would come up with how it would paid for."

"The receptionist is terribly rude!! My 10 years old daughter was in pain in her ankle which had an injury treated in the past there . I went to the walk in clinic and they didn’t let me see a Dr at the moment bc her dr wasn’t at that moment and they said it needed the same dr. I asked with anyone and they give me an app for 5 days after that. She was rude to me , without any patience, with a girl in pain!"

"Beware! ! ! This health care system, Doctors, and organization does not have any consideration for patients time.. ! Expect a long wait. Follow up appointment for my Brothers total knee replacement surgery was scheduled at 9:30am.. Wasn't called back until 11:30am. Sitting in waiting room in pain waiting to be seen is ridiculous. And unacceptable. . My brother had his total knee replacement surgery a week ago at Thomas Memorial Hospital part of WVU Medicine. His appointment for surgery was at 9am. We signed in, and said to wait in waiting room. It was 2pm when he was finally called back. Sitting and waiting in the waiting room for 5 hours is unacceptable and down right disrespectful of a persons/patients time. I was really upset to have spoke to many people that was there waiting, and their appointments and time frame was very close to same amount of wait time. . But what really got me upset more than anything was watching the elderly couples there, trying to remain comfortable, and not in discomfort from sitting such long periods. One elderly woman of 82 was hurting so bad that she had to lay down in the floor to ease her pain from sitting there waiting on a bad hip for over 5 hours. . My brother was Prepped for surgery and that took an hour, the time now is 3pm and surgery started shortly after, and was finished at 5pm. He was In recovery for an hour. And they got him in a room at 6:30pm. Total time of being there from start to finish. Got there at 8:30am because he was told to be there 30 minutes before the appointment. And was in his room at 6:30pm. That is a total time of 10 hours. . 5 hours in waiting room. Sitting in pain waiting. 1 hr for surgery prep. 2 hr surgery 1 hr recovery 1 hr to get him from recovery to a room. . Why wasn't the appointment scheduled for 1pm. ? That could had cut out 4 hours of sitting and waiting. . People's time is just as valuable as the hospitals and doctors. People would much rather prefer to be uncomfortable and in pain sitting around their house, then in a waiting room for 5 hours."

"Dr Persinger was very pleasant, explained the surgery, and let us know that his staff would be contacting us to set up surgery. We got a voicemail with a surgery date, no explanation, no instructions. We played phone tag for six weeks until I called the office manager and then the scheduler called with more specific instructions. I took off time from work to assist my significant other. We pre-tested a week prior to surgery, which was scheduled on a Monday. On Friday before the surgery date, we got a phone call that no authorization was obtained and later that day was told it was denied altogether. My boyfriend has been out of work for 3 months waiting on this surgery, barely able to walk. I took off work for a week and that cost us nearly $2000. Travel and lodging arrangements were made. This is negligence. Pure and simple. And my boyfriend, the patient, is devastated. We were told that the office would contact us next week to see what to expect next. The surgeon was awesome, but his staff is to be desired."

"Had my appt. At 1:30 called and made it myself on Monday. Wasnt told what to bring with me over the phone when arriving they was packed l. I signed I'm at 1:11 was then told rudely that without my insurance card I couldn't be seen. They camt pulled it from Thomas's system the er that referred me? Had my husband on and get a copy from Thomas personally. Then waited until 2 to be called back ( fast wait time at least) to be told I wouldn't be seen due to not having my xrays I was never told to have them dont have them they couldn't have them faxed over between the assuming and the rudeness of this place I wouldn't want them working on my pet fish let alone myself. They seen to busy but to be down right rude to poeple is unacceptable."
