Reviews of Great Expressions Dental Centers - Lawrenceville-Sugarloaf
"This establishment is very much fraudulent and not honest. I got that vibe immediately when they diagnosed my husband and I with things we knew we most definitely didn't have. They are money hungry and I don't feel like they care about your overall wellbeing. I felt pressured to spend unnecessary money because I was told something was wrong when in fact after both of us getting second opinions their diagnosis' were completely inaccurate & they just want to charge you hundreds of dollars. Soo disappointed. I'd avoid this place."
"Your children are not safe at this dentist office! This was our first visit to this provider as we recently moved to GA. As I was finishing up the registration, a hygienist asked to take my 7 year old to have X-rays while I finished up. I consented, and asked the registration personnel if she would return right after. She said, "Yes, they'll come back afterward and get you." However, they never returned. They then called back my 2 year old into a separate area and in a room without having any idea where my 7 year old had been taken. I was instructed to sit on the exam chair with my 2 year old on my lap facing me, and when the dentist came in, I would lay her back into the dentist's lap for the exam. This was not my child's first dental appointment, so I was familiar with the process. However, the dentist came in and made no effort to ease into the exam. She sat across from me with no conversation other than to lay her back and that her legs would be touching mine. I was instructed to hold my child's hands on her belly while they did the exam. Immediately after laying her back, the dentist attempted to force her mouth open, which was met with fear and screams from my 2 year old. She then forced her mouth open and shoved a too-large toothbrush (which was provided on my exit and is indicated for 5 years +) inside her mouth. There was no attempt to calm my child or ease her into the exam. When she continued to struggle, the hygienist handed the dentist a large metal clamp which was forcibly shoved into my daughter's mouth to keep it pried open. Then the hygienist handed the dentist a mirror which looked like it was partially corroded to look into my daughter's mouth. Everything happened so quickly that I didn't have time to process the events in the moment. I was then ushered to the front desk to schedule new appointments 6 months out even though I had asked to be take to my 7 year old who was still in an unknown location alone. After scheduling the 6 month appointments, I was finally allowed back to see my 7 year old. We left the office with my 2 year old's mouth bloody and then I later noticed that the dentist left her thumbprint in a bruise on her cheek. The entire experience was horrendous and made me fear for my children's safety. These are the types of dentists who make people hate going to the dentist. My only hope is that through this complaint I am able to prevent this type of experience in the future. Children should never be separated from their parent in an area where there is no visual oversight and no child should be handled with so much force as to leave bruising on their face and bloodied mouths. It is completely unacceptable."
"If I could give this place no stars I would! I honestly thought I was in the twilight zone. The place is dirty and all of the tools they use to play in your mouth looks old and rusty. I should have known by the padlock on the entry door. 2023 you would think that a dentist office would be clean at the very least. The staff is also rude and overbearing. They do not listen to what services you want them to provide but constantly over talks you. Worse experience I had. I also reached out to the health department to see if they can be looked into for unsanitary conditions"
"Sub-par doc in box with inadequate care. Can't recommend at all. Get yourself established care with a practical that's professional and a dentist without an undeserved god complex. Dr. Glasser should not be caring for patients. I went ahead and read through these reviews. It's not just me and it's not a small amount of people saying the same thing. The dentist is bad, the billing is off and wrong, and there's a big rude attitude at this place. Save some time and money. Find somewhere else. ETA: I found the place you want to go locally. Check out my other review for their name. It's just night and day the difference it will make!"
"I made an appt online. I got a call back immediately stating the appointment wasn't set because the online schedule system doesn't work. I was able to place a new appt a month out. When I arrived I was seen very quickly. There was a lot of paper work to fill out. The place was clean and the doctor was nice. I would return. I want to take one star off for the schedule system but they got back to me the same day so I can't complain."
