"It's quiet, short trail, about a 15 minute walk through a hilly, wooded basin it's just to the south of a railway, on the south by residences, a swamp to the east and some fenced pasture to the west Bear in mind that we visited in February (cool and dry). It's low lying in spots, but the trail was dry with a new boardwalk / bridge. We took out time and happened upon a pair of Black Headed Vultures just at the bridge, looking easterly, perched 30-40 feet above. They are surprisingly large -- they look big perched but when those wings unfurled, the wings were 5 feet across! The larger of the two flapped mid-canopy, dodging branches, no noise, headed toward a distant swampy area - well that was mesmerizing. We enjoyed the Preserve. Community spaces are worth the effort. Enjoy."

"Walk it often. Seems like they are expanding the trail a bit more towards magnolia, following the railroad tracks. A shorter trail but an oasis right in the middle of town."
