"Cannot say enough good things from the front desk to assistants to the hygienist and dentist. They went above and beyond to not only take care of me but make sure I felt comfortable with everything. For the first time I’m actually excited to get my dental work done!"
"I went to the dentist and was told I had Gingivitis. I was given a whole treatment plan. I had an appointment early January I was told my next appointment was going to be February 5th. I took off work to be there. I never received an email reminder. Normally the day before I’ll receive an email. I called the office as soon as they opened I called the office and then they ask if I can move it to another day. I said no because I can’t keep taking off work. They said to come in 2 hours after the appointment time I was told over a month ago. Then when I get there the office lady was very rude. She was talking to her coworkers about me loud enough to where I could hear her. She said “this is the one that said she had an appointment but there’s nothing on the schedule”. Then proceeded to talk to another lady across the lobby and told her that her appointment had been pushed back due to other “hygienic patients” while pointing at me. The last appointment I had was in January and I was given a paper that had all of the prices that I would have to pay out of pocket. The treatment I was going in for was supposed to be $77.50. When I got there the same lady told me I owed $95 I asked why and she said it was due to my insurance not covering an amount from the previous appointment. I was not told this over the phone or given a call after the insurance company didn’t “cover” the full amount. The paper work I was given initially showed what my insurance was going to cover as well as what I would have to pay out of pocket. I went ahead and paid it because I was annoyed and upset about the entire situation. When I went back to see the doctor she was very nice and I had no issues. However I am still very upset about the entire situation I have never been treating so poorly at a doctors office. I will be finding a new dentist to go too after this."
"I had dentures made here in 2014, very good stuff, very quick. I came back to get new ones as my top denture broke. This was in July. I didn't get my first attempt at a top denture til October after staffing changes. It was good fit, just the front tooth was too short. I asked that they leave everything the way it was except for that tooth. About a month later, I get a new one in. It fits, but the top part that does some holding is now covering my existing teeth. Hideous. Why the change? I ask for that to be fixed. Month later, get it new one, does not fit the same at all, and did not address my original issue at all. Office Manager and Doctor tried to blame me, and refer me to someone else, but did offer me my money back. Haven't gotten that yet. This process started so long ago, I've paid interest on that money spent, and I have the time and gas I used , all gone, for nothing. This is why they will blame you, they know it's more than just the money, that's 6 months of time, just wasted. (WITHOUT A FUNCTIONAL TOP DENTURE). Nobody offered me a temporary , I guess we all thought surely it can't take too long. This place was great, but now it's not. Always short staffed. Turnover. Lab work is incorrect."
"Horrible… initial consultation, with the staff regarding my medical condition with my current X-rays I already had in hand for doctor to review. I also called the after hour service and gave details concerning my prior dentist gave me a referral to have my tooth extracted. The staff informed me during the call and the following morning this could be pulled to come in. I Expressed my concerns about unnecessary radiation exposure and how it may affect my health, especially with my cancer diagnosis. They insisted they needed their own x ray. This is a lack of a patients medical request and needs when it’s unnecessary being I had them in hand to view by their Doctor. Aspen Dental could improve their communication processes, patient care, and sensitivity to individual medical needs. This can include suggestions for better coordination between staff members and improved understanding of patients’ unique circumstances. Never inform a patient to come in knowing they’re in pain and have requested a tooth extraction and you can do the procedure if this can’t be done. As patients come in expecting services and then denied AFTER already being exposed to Radiation that is unnecessary after just having them done in a three week period. If a patient is saying they have them in hand and been exposed with to much radiation then don’t re-expose a patient if you aren’t able to read another professional x ray. Or have your staff member relay that patients request and the reason to the doctor before proceeding. Especially when you’re unsure that a procedure can even be done. You need these questions answered before a patient even comes in for service before exposing them. Many patients aren’t away of how much exposure this does to their body and many people that are staff members don’t either. Patients read about these issues before letting doctors make the decisions for you!!!!"
"I know that everybody probably hates going to the dentist but nobody dislikes it as much as me. But I can tell you that my experience at Aspen Dental was wonderful. The office staff is very efficient, also very kind, and I never felt any judgment from anyone. I guess my only problem is that after my insurance is applied the balance that I owe it's going to be about $9, 000. I am on a fixed income and I just don't see how I could afford the balance. There is just not room in the budget for a payment of that size to pay back the $9,000. Other than that, I would recommend Aspen Dental to any person I know that can afford it."
