Reviews of G W Carver Interpretive Museum
"The Carver Museum beautifully showcased the rich tapestry of contributions from the Black community throughout history. It stands as a poignant reminder of our incredible ingenuity, highlighting what we can create when doors are open and opportunities are embraced. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to visit and immerse themselves in this enlightening experience. It's a powerful testament to resilience, creativity, and the human spirit."
"Small and powerful so many little know facts about the black experience traveling and great art work from Local artist Trey. Hands down awesome experience."
"It was a wonderful experience. We had an opportunity to experience the Harriet Tubman interactive exhibit. It was very powerful and emotional.the exhibit was not only educational but really made you feel a miniscule of what those before us must have felt. The music sang gave chills and echos in my heart."
"Discovering Black History gems in places that I’m visiting are always the highlight of my adventures. Named after George Washington Carver the great agricultural scientist and inventor most famously known for promoting the cultivation of peanuts and other crops to restore the soil. The museum is located in the center of Dothan in the former Greyhound bus station that was one of the many segregated establishments in the 1940s. Today, there are panels that depict African Americans contributions to science. The highlight was being able to see GW Carver’s handwritten letters where he is telling s colleague of the work he is performing at Tuskegee University."
"Really nice, peaceful and quiet environment. Sure can find a lot about the black history"
