"Booked a date night here on some friends recommendations on their homemade pasta, though reviews looked mixed. The atmosphere and revival of that space in the Dayton arcade is simple but very well done—dark, chic industrial with a bright beautiful bar, with some seating into the arcade rotunda. Menu is pretty simple (frankly, my only cheeky criticism was the somewhat vacation-spot-looking laminated menu). We both got pasta… I had the beef short rib with gnocchi. It was very very good, exceptionally tender with a well balanced braise sauce. Homemade gnocchi had wonderful texture and cream sauce. The broccolini looked slightly overcooked, but had a nice citrus zest to it. Service was decent… owner (I assume) came out and offered us fresh Parmesan when we were about halfway done. For desert we had the cannoli and gelato. Each were sized for one. Cannoli was perfect, and gelato was also the best I’ve had in Dayton. I hope they stick around and overall service will only improve (wasn’t bad, but didn’t wow). I would definitely recommend and return next time we are at Schuster center or nearby."
"What a wonderful place! My husband and I ordered the fried mozzarella balls for an appetizer and they were absolutely perfect. The sauce had basil in it and paired great. Amazing! For ours mains, I ordered the pepperoni and pickled red onion pizza and he ordered the chicken Alfredo. Both mains were superb, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. We have enough for a little leftover. The space is quiet and intimate. The lighting is by far my favorite so far. Our server was very attentive, without being buggy. We will definitely be back"
"Checked this place out on a whim after going to Contemporary Dayton. Turns out this place hasn't been open 90 days yet and haven't had their grand opening yet either. We went on a Sunday. They have brunch or can get entire menu. We ordered brunch item for 2 that was vegetarian. We also ordered 2 pizzas: 1) vegan cheese with banana peppers and 2) buffalo sauce with chicken and blue cheese. Our server returns and says they are out of whatever the names of the brunch item was but they could do another one that was mussels and something else for a discount. I said no thank you, I don't do meat. She didn't come back with another option. Oh well, the pizzas were filling. They are roughly 12". The dough was good. The vegan cheese was from a company (Selfish Cow) I had never heard of, but was tasty. Husband enjoyed his pizza too."
"If you love Italian food you MUST check them out for real! Drinks: Limoncello Martini, Boulevardier, Extra Extra Extra Dirty Martini, and Old Fashioned. Food: (app) Burrata with Homemade focaccia bread, prosciutto, arugula, and cheery tomato halves dressed with a balsamic dressing and (entrée) homemade Seafood Linguine Squid Ink Pasta with clams, mussels, shrimps, calamari, broccoli crema, and chive oil. The wife and I wanted to try this new place! We arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation(highly recommend during dinner "rush") and put the bartenders to work! We started with a Limoncello Martini and a Boulevardier(whiskeys version of a Negroni)(last 2 images forgot to take a pic right away, sorry). The Limoncello Martini was probably my favorite drink of the evening, which is hard to say, because I am a bourbon snob lol! The second round was of course the Old Fashioned and the Dirty Martini! The Old Fashioned had muddled orange and cherry in the bottom which gave it too much of a citrus flavor in my opinion and I felt the bourbon was a little lacking (or maybe just overpowered by the orange). The burrata appetizer was just perfectly balanced and simple, but done right! All the elements of this dish added something and they all balanced each other beautifully! The pasta was freshly made and cooked to perfection! The seafood, most was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was over cooked, but it didn't ruin the dish at all for me! The service was great and all the staff were super friendly! The pace of the entire meal was a little off and slow at times! I would highly recommend this establishment!"
"This is place is very new and working out kinks. This weekend was the first weekend for Brunch. They didn’t have any of the Starters/ Social Eats on the menu for brunch. I had the Shrimp and Polenta and a side of eggs and bacon. The food looked great and tasted great. My partner had a mimosa that was warmer than room temperature. I had a Halls Limoncello Martini. I have to say, that was the worst Limoncello Martini I’ve ever had. The limoncello is already strong enough… didn’t need it to contain lemon vodka. Need to redo that drink. But overall, I’d go back for dinner."
